Update.

First off I am recovered, mostly. I’ve been hanging out here and there, even finished art. There are ups and downs here…but you have to expect such things I suppose.

I am doing well. There is no indication of any kind of paralysis or impacted motor control. My mind still ‘sharp’. So, I have no real problems cognitively. I do have headaches more often though. The use of drugs is nonexistent as at the moment.

...who thought this would be SOOOOOOO damn hard!?!?!?!?
I've written this chapter 5 times...and thrown it away, the only part that as survived is the Caribou part...which really is not long at all.

P.S. 1513 Km in a car non stop...not fun. I respect the Gemini astronauts a lot more now.

I wonder if I should keep doing 'long' chapters, or break things up more. While the work would come faster....I think longer chapters are more cohesive. Dunno...I guess it's a matter of tastes. Writing has been VERY hard up until this week because holding my arm to type has been...lets just say...NOT fun! ANYWAY...look for more of the gorging, hoarding Orange Bloom...and yes Caribou reappear.

My ribs are healing OK, I can actually work out again. No more stabbing pain to derail me any more...and working is no longer difficult. Writing should resume....just with some changes because I just got a promotion! The assault on my person has been resolved and my life can now proceed.

FYI- in the last 2 weeks things have been very VERY stressful (writing is one of the few things letting stress out) and very heated IRL. Getting threatened in person over stuff online as been an eye opener and bad enough-involving family, that's low.

So this is the 21st century. Nice.

Man what a month.

Ok the drugs, a few other steps (including a spinal tap-YEOW) I can walk without a cane! I can march and carry stuff! Still nothing heavy for a while...but man being without pain rocks (apparently I was a dumb @$$ about the pain...I downplayed it. I shouldn't have).

now as to writing and art..

I finally got the new M4500 up and running...all it's done is play Portal and Elder Scrolls. Those are a test of it's abilities...we'll see if she can render.
