When Luster Dawn joins the School of Friendship in the middle of the academic year, the first student she meets is her roommate, a kirin who’s more than eager to introduce herself and show Luster around... but not before telling her about her awkward first day.

Rainbow Dash crashes and is tended to by a mysterious stranger. A mysterious stranger that is still watching over her but refuses to show themselves. That doesn't mean that Rainbow Dash is going to be content sitting and waiting for her wing to heal.

After King Sombra narrowly escapes his demise yet again after his attempts to conquer Equestria. Sombra was weakened and wandered through Equestria only to end up in the Kirin village, completely exhausted. But luckily one talkative Kirin took in the dark unicorn to nurse him back to proper health. Sombra was annoyed by the talkative Kirin, but decided to wait until he returns to full power and crush all who defy him. Only if he survives the Kirin's insistent talking. Or, possibly even warms up to her and see the world in a new light.

Autumn Blaze is thrilled when she receives a parcel from her best (and only) friend, Applejack. But when she sees the cutie marks of Applejack's parents emblazoned on the bottles within, a memory is triggered. A memory Autumn wishes that she could forget...
