Grogar’s masterplan now come to fruition. With Soundwave and the Decepticons by his side, along with his powerful magic, he will be unstoppable. But to make things even worse, they manage to corrupt Princesses Celestia, Luna, Cadence, and unfortunately Twilight Sparkle as well. With that, Equestria has now become a barren wasteland. With death and destruction being everywhere, it would appear as if Grogar has won at last. But his endgame will come short. A new brand of heros crash-land on Equestria and discover where the Decepticons have been all along. Optimus Prime and the Autobots must find a way to defeat not only Soundwave and his army, but a new foe they have never seen. Will Optimus be able to overcome the mighty Grogar in ALL of his power or fall under his tyrannical hooves?

Three years have passed since Princess Twilight Sparkle took the throne, and Equestria is thriving. However, lurking deep in the shadows is a villain older than Equestria itself who will stop at nothing to reclaim it for his own. Will the Mane Six be able to defeat this threat and multiple villains from their past or will Equestria finally fall to the forces of evil?

This story takes place three years after The Ending of the End. All events are meant to fit within the established canon/continuity of the show.

On the precipice of Twilight Sparkle's coronation, Equestria anticipates an era of friendship and harmony. But under the surface, tensions boil. A growing rift between the royal sisters, Twilight's niggling self-doubt, and fracturing unity throughout the land threaten to upend the balance of Equestria. Worse, a dastardly alliance plots ultimate revenge against the Mane 6.

This four part adventure culminates the events of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic Season 9.

At Equestria's darkest hour, the remaining heroes face vengeful foes and confront choices that push them to their limits.

Twilight's friends gain unexpected allies as they attempt to save her and Equestria from a dark fate.

Author's Note:

This story strictly follows canon and is meant to replace Season 9 Episodes 24-26. As such, all attempts are made to avoid OOC behavior and other elements not seen in the show such as shipping, excessive violence, use of prohibited language and allusions to fan-made content. Consistency is maintained with the dialogue present in the finale trailer. The overall goal in writing this is to address the numerous issues that I, along with many others, had with the last three episodes of the show and to give the series a proper conclusion by building on the plot threads set up throughout Season 9.

To best follow the format of the show, the POV or internal thoughts of characters is not depicted beyond what would be seen in an episode. Only visual descriptions and dialogue are used to convey the plot.

The Father of Monsters sees that he must obtain a powerful trinket in order to defeat Twilight Sparkle and her friends. While his Legion were left to their own devices, Grogar sets out on a journey to find that artifact. However, he encounters unexpected hindrances that threaten to undermine his mission. He must figure out how to overcome them.

Note: This takes place during MLP: FIM season 9 episode 17 The Summer Sun Setback.
