Vinyl Scratch likes football. Octavia really likes football. Vinyl Scratch is terribly confused.

Octavia is pointed in the direction of Carousel Boutique by a respected colleague. She intends to commision matching uniforms on behalf of her ensemble leader, the esteemed Frederic Horseshoepin. Octavia has misgivings however, when informed that the boutique in question is in Ponyville, a backwater farming town.

Can the proprietor of Carousel Boutique prove to the Canterlot mare that she has what it takes?

Vinyl has been acting strange. The famous DJ PON-3 going on long walks outside Manehatten--in Nature?! She's a night-life pony; why is she now spending her nights alone under the stars? And what are the strange sounds coming from the forest where she wanders? Octavia is very suspicious of her flatmate's strange new behaviour.

The Battle of Canterlot, fought between the forces of Equestria and the warriors of the changeling hive of Queen Chrysalis, was won not by courage or skill, but rather by the literal power of true love. And although the royal couple of Mi Amore Cadenza and Shining Armor, and the six mares known as the Bearers of the Elements of Harmony, were at the core of the fighting, they were not the only ones who fought that day.

Read now the testimony of one of the few ponies in Canterlot that day who successfully defended herself against the invaders, using mad karate skills, stern language, and musical virtuosity.

Vinyl asks Octavia what would happen if she found a minor scratch on her cello.

Octavia is stressed, her day was not exactly the best. She just needed to lie down and have some snuggles while somepony to hear her. Good thing Vinyl was there.

Octavia finally managed to get what she wanted, someone to fill the gap of loneliness that lingered on the edges of her mind, but it seems like her conflicts are just beginning.

(I'd really recommend reading the first story. Or else the first chapter probably won't make a shred of sense.)

After being apart for five years, Vinyl finds out that Octavia got married. Knowing there is no way she can have back what they once had, Vinyl feels alone. She won't let anybody in. She won't let anybody help. She just wants to forget her biggest mistake: letting Octavia go.
