Spike’s long lost father has finally shown up to be there for his son, but it turns out he’s not a very pleasant individual at all.

This greatly displeases Starlight.

To my regular readers, fair warning—there is no romance, there is no human, there is only Starlight kicking the crap out of a dragon.

I have no idea why I wrote this. I watched the recent ‘Father Knows Beast’ episode. It triggered me, I guess? This is my take on how the episode should have went. Suffice to say, there are some pretty major spoilers.

Enjoy… Or maybe not. I wrote it in like two hours.

It makes sense in context.

A filly waits in a small white room. Waiting for her friends to visit. "Hi! I'm Silver Spoon and I'm the Perfect Patient! What medical symptoms would you like to treat today?"

Winner of the Magic Fades and Science Grows contest on Quills and Sofas.

TW for lots of gore and emotionally cruel treatment of a child. Read with care, and if emotional child abuse is something you've experienced perhaps steer clear of this one. I think my initial trigger warning wasn't extensive enough, so apologies if anyone was disturbed by the content. This is a grimdark look at sentience, souls, and the way people/ponies treat things they perceive to be inhuman.

The Rainbooms and some of their friends talk about ‘boob pockets’, muse on the nature of interdimensional clothing, and take a vote regarding if a pair of pants should stay on or be taken off.

Inspired by a conversation with thegreatcat14 and perhaps a piece of her art or two...

Thanks to her and also Nova Quill and Tired Old Man for their input, edits, and help!

Most ponies seem to love like the sun, a single spot of intense, blazing passion. Starlight Glimmer is different. Her love feels like planets in the night sky. So many scattered lights, so far out of reach, and so hard to tell from the fixed stars.

Fortunately, she has a teacher who's very good at astronomy.

An entry in Bicyclette's Polyship Contest, written at the last minute because that's when the idea came to me. Rated Teen for frank discussion of physical attraction and a brief mention of suicidal ideation. Takes place immediately after "Uncommon Bond" (S7E24, the one with Starlight's favorite board game.)

Now with a reading by The Mystery Fluttershy Fan.

It started with a Nightmare: a corrupted monarch, a desperate sister, and a fragmented kingdom left in their wake. Saddled with the burden of protecting Equestria alone, Celestia chose to be strong enough not to. Instead, she found another way: three mortal ponies, the most magically gifted of their generation, to stand by her side as defenders of the realm.

For a thousand years, they've been everything Equestria needed them to be. Scholars, guardians, warriors, heroes—or, as Celestia prefers to call them, Angels. And if their inaugural achievements are any indication, her latest nominees for that illustrious order might just be the best ones yet.

Provided, of course, they don't blow up half the kingdom proving it.

An alternate universe retelling of the events of Friendship is Magic. A non-zero number of changelings were harmed in the making of said account.
