However, Trixie’s father, Jackpot, comes into town for his magical performance tour (and hidden illegal matters) as the Great and Powerful Mysterio. Now, Spider-Man must contend with the magician’s powerful illusions and technology, all while trying to preserve his friendship with Trixie and learning of her family's turmoil.

With mystery looming over the Power Ponies' very existence, the comic's heroes team up with Spike on a Manehattan-bound trip to Clockwisely HQ—the comic company behind the Power Ponies—to discover who brought them into this reality and why, all while their own world needs saving as it burns in chaos.

As they dig into the case, however, they soon realize that dark purposes are afoot.

When Scootaloo crashes into twilight during a magic experiment they get teleported to an unknown city that's burning and has weird creatures scattered in the streets. As the two separated stranded ponies roam around the city separately trying to figure out where they ended up, will they try to make it home as fast as possible or will they stay to help a species that's being systematically eradicated?

Trixie has hit rock-bottom. Desperate for compassion, she returns to Ponyville, seeking Starlight Glimmer. Unfortunately, Starlight isn't there. Even more unfortunately, Trixie can't get to Canterlot, and is stuck in the town where her life really spiraled out of control, a town where not everypony has forgiven her. She seeks redemption and acceptance, but things are complicated when a spate of dangerous arsons hits the town.
