Two years after the attack on Equestria, Queen Chrysalis finds herself broken and unable to go on, but there is hope. Discord and the original Queen Chrysalis came up with a spell many years ago, bring a girl from another dimension to Equestria, and she would become the new Queen. Though she would have the previous Queen to help her take on the ultimate disguise.
Though this is not all the new Queen faces, a dark force has risen, with power strong enough that even the old queen fears it. Their choices could affect the future of Equestria, and not just for pony and changeling, but every creature! Who will survive? And can something that the Queen has denied for so long, be the key to their success? Read on to find out!

Story takes place during Season 4 of the show. And though we might see background ponies introduced after that or some canon stuff learned after that, most changeling canon now being made in season 6 will either be used if it is still relevant to my plans, or will be ignored. (Changelings hatching into Larva for one example.)

Luna is planing to maker her own Elements of Harmony but she needs the help of the most loved and hated background characters you may have heard of. The princess of the night has lost her powers, with Nightmare Moon sealed within her she has a second chance at life and she isn't wasting this one. In secret she has been searching for ponies who have the elements within them. If Celestia could do it why can't she?

Three weeks after the incredibly odd night involving being kidnapped, moving statues, and an apocalypse, things are starting to return to normal for Lyra. Well, as normal as things are for a member of Luna's secret task force. Sadly, the respite from weirdness is broken by their patron princess. Ponies are disappearing in Whitetail Woods, and they're on the clock to find out what's behind it, and neutralize it if possible.

"Overlooked by the the great mountains lay the lands of Hollow Shades, home to a race of ponies known as the thestrals, bat ponies, creatures of the night. And on a hill, overlooking a great forest of redwood sat a manor, its exterior showing signs of a long age. Inside empty halls lay its sole occupant, a Countess with a dark secret, her heart heavy with loss for the one she held most dear. She drifted through life, night by night, longing for her one true love.

While in the lands of Equestria,in a town called Ponyville, lived an Earth Pony whose head always seemed to be in the clouds. He went day by day, looking upward to the sky. And yet life always seemed to keep him on the ground.

Two different ponies, born of different backgrounds, and never knowing of the other. A chance encounter may forever chance their fates in ways neither could have thought possible..."

This is the background story of the Great and Powerful Trixie, as well as an alternative plot of the Royal Wedding involving Trixie and others. It begins with a story of who Trixie was, and how she has developed to who she is in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Her story continues into the Royal Wedding in Canterlot, with Trixie being the cause of the chaos that develops. This brings out a more in-depth relationship that Trixie plays on Twilight, Shining Armor, and many other characters in the series as well as her potential as a major character in the franchise.

Lyra always knew there was something more out there. She learned in her youth, when she became the victim of a bloodsucking horror that kept her enthralled to his twisted will, feeding on the blood of others to sustain itself. Until Bonnie came, and set her free with fire and bullets. After agonizing withdrawal, Lyra's body healed. But her soul was another matter entirely.

Now she tries to live a normal life, passing the day to day as a music tutor. But horrors still stalk her nightmares, lurking in every shadowy Canterlot alley.

As time passes, something deep in Lyra rebells at this vision of her world, where mankind are desperate prey always fleeing from dark things. Something is calling to her, a vision of a better world. Once her soul wakes to magic, it will never sleep again.

Unless someone puts her in the dirt, of course. Someone like her monster-hunting girlfriend.

This story is a tribute to the World of Darkness. Knowledge of its setting and characters is not necessary to read this--its lead character will have to learn everything right along with readers. But for the curious, I'm using 1st Edition Mage the Awakening, Hunter the Vigil, Changeling the Lost, Vampire the Masquerade, and Werewolf the Forsaken. It's primarily a mage story, but will include elements of the other books where appropriate.

This story started with the simple premise of wondering what Twilight and her unicorn friends would look like as a cabal of mages. But given how long I've been writing and how old the fandom is now, centering a story on Twilight felt too predictable at this point. I wanted to use one of the background characters as viewpoint instead. Everything else grew from that premise--making the changelings into changelings, some earth ponies into werewolves, etc.

Fluttershy has always been a shy mare that has kept to herself. She doesn't like being around other ponies. Animals were always enough for her. However, there is one pony that she admires and adores. Trixie Lunamoon, the leader of the Galaxy Rangers. She's strong, brave, funny, and knows how to take charge of her destiny. Just being around the mare makes her happy. Fluttershy realizes her feelings for Trixie might go beyond mere friendship. Could it be...love? She agonizes about how to reveal her feelings only to be drawn into a Night Court plot against Trixie. A plot to destroy Trixie once and for all.
