Twilight Sparkle is the alicorn of the stars, and after a period of self-discovery, ancient-goddess-discovery and a minor case of malmanifestation madness, she has finally come to share the night, a city, her ex-villain status and a bed with Luna, the alicorn of the moon.

Things are looking pretty good for her.

The five demigoddesses she created out of spite? Not so much. Celestia and Celestia are a little lost too, and for some unknown, completely mysterious reason, dragons are flooding into Equestria—and they're not acclimating. Someone probably should do something about that.

It never gets dull in Ponyville, does it?

I am Adone Federo. I am a mafia don in the city of Los Angeles. I was once the most powerful man there, but...fate decided otherwise for me. I do not mind. I was enforced this duty after my father was imprisoned. Having to take on so many things at once is not an easy task, especially when you must uphold your home country's customs when you never lived there, and keep your family name implanted within the foundations of fear. I only hope that my cold body means that I will finally be able to rest like I have always wanted: with the fishes in the calm sea...or is there something else that I might see?

Everything's gone crazy. Ever since I found that damn staff, I've lost control over my life, my appearance, even my own mind. There's an entire country trying to hunt me down now, and I'm running out of options. Time, time, time. Yes . . . yes all I need is some time to sort all this out; to gain a modicum of control over the powers that helped cause this mess. The only question now is how. Well . . . time to start scheming I suppose.

This story is a sequel to How to Climb a Mountain

Twilight has a problem. After a noble by the name of Duke Bull Horn comes to her castle demanding that she take his son to the Gala as a date, Twilight loses her temper and lets it slip that she already has a date. Fearing the criticism she will get it she indeed does show up without a date, Spike suggest that she take the Captain of her recently formed guard, Flash Sentry. While Twilight initially rejects Spike's idea, Flash himself willing volunteers to take her so that she can avoid the criticism that the Duke might pin on her should she show up alone.

Will the Gala be better than the first one Twilight attended, and will this date become something more? Or will the nobles ruin everything and cause the night to go down in flames?

Brief disclamer: this story is meant to be a prequel to my first story "Gone, But Not Forgotten," though I only realized it could be prequel about 4000 words into typing it, so excuse if it somehow has minor inconsistencies.

Back in the early days of Equestria, when Luna was still with her sister and Discord was still flesh and blood, a young pony discovers that she is bored with her charmed life. Her name was Celestia, although she prefers to go by Sunny Days.

You see, Celestia feels a bit pressured by her newly approaching 'royal duties,' so she created a new personality for herself: mild-mannered filly-next-door Sunny Days.

Of course, she didn't account for the odd little creature that would soon become her biggest fan. His name was Discord, and he was quite possibly the most annoying and obnoxious animal on the face of the planet.

So love was a foregone conclusion.
