It's no secret at the office that there's something between Tempest and Wallflower. Its not like they hide it, anyway. Still, it's nice to get out of the office and do something that's just the two of them for once.

Too bad someone else didn't get the memo.

Through thick and thin Princess Twilight Sparkle and her friends have defeated whatever fate could throw at them, but only just. It's time for a new strategy to secure Equestria's safety. Now that the Storm King has been defeated, it will take all of Twilight's nerve and cunning to stop his Commanders from achieving their ultimate goal: World Domination.

Despite Equestria appearing to enter a new era of profound peace, Starlight Glimmer decides that the students at her school should be taught how to defend themselves. To that end, she establishes a self-defense class.

Deciding it easier to teach by demonstration, Starlight tries to find a volunteer to spar with her. But nopony within the school is willing to go hoof to hoof with her, not even her closest friends.

Fortunately, a savior comes in the most unexpected and unlikely of places. Tempest Shadow, no stranger to combat herself, shows up and offers to oppose Starlight for the sake of the demonstration. Who will prevail in this clash between powerful unicorns?

Tempest Shadow was a military leader, and one of the Storm King's most deadly generals; but a long time ago, she was just a little filly in Ponyville. Now she's asked Princess Celestia to help find her family, so that she can resume her life in Ponyville. Tempest knows Celestia has to be lying to her when she reveals that her mother is - Mrs. Cake?! So Tempest sets out on a quest to find her real family - right under Princess Celestia's nose!

She waited until she could hear the six ponies obviously following her start whispering among themselves before she spoke her prepared lines.

“OH,” Tempest Shadow intoned, loud enough for the would-be stalkers hiding behind the barrels in a nearby alleyway to hear her, “I DON’T KNOW IF THIS IS WHERE I BELONG. BUT … MY HEART, IT’S BECOMING SO FULL OF THIS STRANGE NEW EMOTION.”

The voices behind the barrels sharply quieted, listening keenly for her next words.

“I THINK … I’M GOING TO GIVE PONYVILLE ONE MORE TRY.” Tempest Shadow said, with as much gravitas as she could manage, and heaved an overdramatic sniffle as she rubbed beneath one eye. “I THINK I’M GOING TO GIVE LOVE … ONE MORE TRY.”

“I knew it!” came a soft voice from behind the barrel, which was rapidly shushed by five other voices.

Cozy Glow, after her stint in villainy, decides to devote her life to defeating villains. She says it is for the good of Equestria and friendship. It is certainly not because she wants her mom to lower her punishment and extra credit.

What a silly, silly idea.

Though not being grounding is certainly a side benefit.

This is my take on a kinda-reformed Cozy Glow.

Jakob is a quiet man trying to raise his daughter in peace. He is haunted by the loss of his wife many years ago. The choices of his life have led him to this point, leaving him in a state of constant contemplation.

He once shared an adventure into a new world filled with colorful equine-like creatures. His wife waded in among them, embracing their offers of friendship, leaving him bemused in her wake. Gladly he followed her through all the joys and pains, the peace and the conflicts.

Now, all that is left are the memories of a love that once filled him, and the daughter that was the result of that same love.

June is now coming of age to notice her father has a serious problem. He is lonely and she intends to do something about it, but how?

It begins with a single, magical candle and a touch of meddling from the Alicorn of Love.
