Ocellus travels back in time to save her friendship with Gallus from self-destructing.

Muddled, distracted, and ineffectual, Cloudkicker isn't exactly the sort of carer most ponies think of when they think of reliable older sisters. Her own sister, Alula, certainly doesn't. She doesn't think of anything; she just does things! Like a proper pegasus is supposed to do! Yeah!

If she ever thought at all, she might think how lucky she was...

It has been many years since the war started...

Chrysalis and her armies rolled over our defenses, overwhelming our forces with sheer numbers. We fought a fighting retreat, always on the run from the swarm. We thought it would be over, that this would be the end of Equestria, and the end of Harmony...

But it was not so. We gathered our strength and held our ground, at last. Desperately our soldiers fought on and held the swarm off. Ponies took up arms to bolster our ranks or grabbed a tool to aid the war industry.

And now, after all these years, we remain in a stalemate. The Changelings adopted their own variant of total warfare. They launch raids on defensive positions at night, send bomber squadrons to destroy civilian centers all across Equestria and sink civilian cruisers out on the sea.

The war drags on, and my ponies grow tired of grieving the loss of their homes and loved ones. It is time for Equestria to commit to this war and leave behind our outdated principles of pacifism and harmony.

This war has brought upon us a new age. And with it, a new Equestria must rise!

This story takes place in the 'Equestria at War' universe. Further knowledge of this universe is not required, but it's good to know. Link to the official EaW group can be found here.

A travelling samurai arrives in Ponyville, much to the chagrin of it's residents when his mannerisms constantly put everypony on edge. It doesn't appear the earth-pony even speaks the same language, yet he's determined to sell his wares. Ponies can't seem to get a handle on him, but some unlikely sources help them get to know this new friend. The power of friendship and the elements of harmony are just what's in store for our hero. You don't have to pay admission until you finish watching the show.

After a crash leaves Rainbow Dash with the mental state of a child, her friends look after her. At the moment, It's Fluttershy's turn, but she's handling the situation well. Even though, and of course she would never admit it, the strain is starting to get to her. But just a little. Rainbow Dash is her friend, and Fluttershy would sooner die than let her suffer. She can take it.

She can take it.

Time waits for no pony, and Rainbow Dash has accepted that with age come limitations. But experience also brings new opportunities, and as head trainer for the Wonderbolts, she’s found new passion in passing her skills on to the next generation of ace fliers.

Then, Fluttersy comes with a request. A sick filly wants to see Dash pull off her signature trick one last time. The odds are stacked against her, but Dash will do whatever it takes. She isn’t about to let anypony down.

Every night, as the land slips beneath the gloaming, Smolder tries to steal a treasure she knows she cannot hold.

Every night, she invites Ocellus to witness the attempt.

In the middle of a city determined to bleed her dry, Apple Fritter is struggling to hold on to what little she has left. Then along came a debt collector named Strawberry Sunrise.

It has been almost one year since Twilight Sparkle ascended to rule Equestria along with her friends. The turbulent times are behind them, even if the year has been shaky at best. With the Grand Galloping Gala rolling out soon, she is eager for a relatively straightforward night with her former mentor.

That plan, however, falls through when the mother of said mentor smashes the party and a chunk of Twilight's jaw.

Mahogany Bloodmist, Queen of the Vamponies and mother of the two retired princesses, turns out to be a much more abrasive pony than Twilight could have ever anticipated, and that's putting it mildly. Yet her presence puts into motion a series of unexpected turns that forever change the lives of those around her. Twilight is going to need to find a way to earn her respect and friendship if she has any chance of survival.

All the while, Starlight Glimmer becomes intertwined in the history surrounding the circumstances of her childhood.

And could Discord be more ingrained in these events more than even he knows?
