An opportunity to learn about more of the history of magic has turned for the worse and Twilight is stuck in the middle of it all.
How will Rainbow Dash react when she has been tasked to save her crush from the unknown evil that inhabits these old ruins?

This story is my attempt at the National Pony Writing Month mentioned on EQD.

Dashverse: Rainbow Dash is geared up and prepared for the Best Young Flyers Competition in her hometown of Cloudsdale! And Rainbow is more than ready, having already used her Sonic Rainboom to help stop Nightmare Moon. When she and her friends arrive in Cloudsdale, things get even better: Rainbow has more fans than all the other competitors put together.

But that's when the problem starts. What's the cost of being the best? How can you have a competition when Rainbow is just that much better than everypony else? How will Rainbow Dash react to a horde of new fans? And how will her friends react to Rainbow's budding legend?

Rainbow Dash is still competing, but she is not the racer she used to be. After her sixth consecutive loss to an old rival, she faces an unthinkable choice. Her old strength is within reach - but at what cost?

Rainbow Dash is know for her athleticism and rough and tumble attitude. She's fearless and not afraid to take on any challenge. But what most ponies don't get to see is her soft side. A side that loves to love and be loved. Even more unknown is a side job where she gets to do just that. The job of a professional snuggler. But how will she cope when a new client sends her into a realm of emotion that not even she thought she had?

It's Nightmare Night, a time of treats and tricks. Fluttershy decides that maybe she should stop hiding in her house and get into the Nightmare Night spirit! But she doesn't know how to make a good prank or give a good scare. So, she decides to consult her best friend Rainbow Dash.

One thousand years ago, Celestia failed to reach out to her sister and save her from the darkness that consumed her. In her sorrow, she was forced to seal her within the Moon.

Five years ago, Sunset Shimmer, Celestia's personal student, also turned twords a darker path. Celestia once again sought to save somepony she cared about from falling onto a dark path. This time, she succeeded...

The first story of the Sunsetverse, join Sunset Shimmer and Twilight Sparkle, Celestia's personal students, as they are sent to Ponyville to oversee the Summer Sun Celebration. Oh, and make some friends. Sunset's not so sure how that counts as a job, but it would probably be a good thing for Twilight. Poor girl's obsessed with some Mare in the Moon legend she read. A few days out of the library and interacting with other ponies would only be a good thing for her, right? After all, there is no way Nightmare Moon is real.

A mysterious plague has swept through Equestria, turning its population into magical zombies. With magic having suddenly vanished as well, it is up to a group of survivors, including Twilight, Applejack, and Rainbow Dash, to discover the infection's origin and find a way to put an end to the nightmare.

Rainbow challenges Applejack to a dating competition. The rules: Rainbow picks a time and a place, then Applejack picks a time and a place, and whoever’s date is the best wins. Simple.

Applejack thinks that’s a dumb idea, but goes along with it. Rainbow means well, at least most of the time. It could be fun.

...Right?
