Moondancer and Twilight were looking up a deaging spell but they actually discover a spell that turned Moondancer into a foal. Its up to Twilight to find a cure while Moondancer is being cared by Minuette. But Minuette soon grows attached to her new foal, and Moondancer becomes attached to her new mom.

Ever wondered why Minuette was always constantly on time? Or why she was capable of automatically solving complex mathematical equations in her head? Or why she was always brushing her teeth? Or why her only friends were Twinkleshine and Lyra? Or why Twinkleshine didn't have her own tag? Or why I set this story in Canterlot? Or why I wrote this at 2 AM on Christmas Day? Or when I'm going to stop asking these questions? Good, because I don't know either.

Minuette, your average unicorn, is actually not that average. Someponies just wish she was, though... because then they probably wouldn't be trapped inside Canterlot's time corridor with a maniacal, time-addicted unicorn...

This story is a sequel to The New Blood

Years have passed since the Crystal War ended. Twilight Sparkle visits an old haunt to spend some time catching up with her friends. Then comes the question of who picks up the tab.

This story follows the alternate universe canon wherein Equestria fought in a state of Total War against Sombra's Crystal Empire. The New Blood is set in the same universe during the war, with some character overlap.

As a Memorial Day Tribute, this story is dedicated to all those who have served, especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice. For any veterans living with trauma, I've placed a link here for the veteran helpline. There is no shame in needing to talk to someone.

I'm Moondancer, friend of Princess Twilight. Yeah that surprised me too. Especially after she abandoned me and my party but water under the bridge as ponies say. My friends, Minuette and the others in Canterlot decided it would be prudent to visit an orphanage in town and make the fillies and colts happy since Hearths Warming is coming up in a few months. Everything changed when I meet a filly who is scarily like me. Better question is why do I feel this way?

Getting caught in the rain, Emerald tries to take shelter under a shop's overhang, however the shop's owner is having nothing of it and invites him inside. Will he be able to survive the night alone with his best friend; the one he has a crush on?

Despite making amends with Twilight, Moondancer is unsure if she can make a new friend. Minuette thinks she can, but when Moondancer encounters a peculiar pony named Cloudchaser, will they become friends? Or is it a recipe for disaster?

Everypony knows that the future is predestined; the very existence of cutie marks proves it. Still, Minuette isn't so sure that she has to make the same mistakes twice.

Two ponies look to the future, and all the while one looks back to the present.
