Retirement affects creatures differently, and for the former Alicorn Princess of the Night it's terrible.

The boredom is never fleeting, and follows her around like a lost pet. Work is even more boring, and she thanked the stars to she was able to keep watching the dreams of her former subjects; still this leaves most of her days empty, and unfilled. This all changes when a conversation with Celestia reveals the foals she teaches are constructing a map of their lineage. Inspired to do something similar, Luna decides she'll partake in this as well.

Her progress grinds to a halt when its discovered she has a lost brother she never knew of, and even her older siblings refuse to speak of him except in whispers. Strangely enough, her own mother refuses to acknowledge this fact leaving the alicorn to wonder who he was, and where he is.

This story is a sequel to Sonic The Hedgehog x My Little Pony: Make Your Mark - Season 2

When an ancient evil rises from the depths of the Crystal Brighthouse, Sonic and Sunny go to investigate.

However, in the journey, Sonic loses an arm, a mysterious corpse destroys the Excalibur Sword and the Unity Crystals, and Sunny disappears. Now, Sonic awakes on an unknown location, with a brand new and powerful arm, with a voice guiding him to look for answers.

Equestria's destiny is now sealed on Sonic's hands.

Inspired in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and taking place in the world of Sonic The Hedgehog x My Little Pony: A New Generation, created by BronySonicFan.

Keep in mind, this story is not canon to whatever he's making so far. I just got his "blessing" to create this story and inspire it in his world.

No matter how powerful the foe or grim the situation, a boy in a green tunic would always arise and vanquish the darkness against all odds, saving Hyrule's inhabitants. But while the eternal cycle of rebirth ran its course in the land of Hylians, Zora, Gorons, Gerudo and Rito, across the vast Necludan Sea another land would be constantly beset by dark forces, only to overcome them with the power of the ancient Alicorn Tribe and the Six Champions. Though Equestria's history is just as tumultuous as that of their overseas neighbour, for thousands of years the kingdom of Ponies, Changelings, Yaks, Gryffons and Dragons not only survived, but also thrived thanks to the Magic of Friendship. However, as Hyrule experiences an era of respite from the threat of enslavement or annihilation, an all too familiar evil from the past begins to wake in the lands of harmony, it's insatiable thirst for power posing a danger not even the five Alicorn Princesses or the Element Bearers of Harmony could stop. Yet hope is not lost, as, unknown to all, the latest reincarnation of Hylia's Chosen Champion lives together with the Princess of Friendship, under his first ever form different than that of a Hylian. Will the Dragon Hero be able to vanquish one of this world's oldest evils, or will Equestria fall to the first vessel of Demise's vengeance?

Some things:
1. I swear I had not heard of Hero of Harmony before writing the first chapter. Any similarities between that story and future chapters will be purely coincidental.
2. This takes place in the Downfall Timeline, after A Link Between Worlds but before the timelines remerge, as well as replacing FiM's Season 7 Finale. The mess that happened with all of the villains a thousand years before the show would take place around the same time as the events of either A Link To The Past or the original two Zelda games because it makes some sense for all the bad guys to enact their nefarious schemes if Ganon is around and mostly winning, and A New Generation will take place at the same time as BOTW because why not?
3. Tagging this story is way more difficult than I thought, so the Tags can and probably will change as I figure out what the heck I want this story to be.
