Welcome back, readers, to another Monday! Which of course means another Being a Better Writer post. I do want to keep these to Monday if at all possible. Work shifts permitting.

The reason I'm well is that something marvelous happened to me right when I needed it.
It was dark in the first Discord episode when Twilight lost her will, but Princess Celestia did something remarkable in response: she sent Twilight's letters back to her.
Thanks to Celestia's voice actress, the same thing happened to me. Literally.
IN WHICH I BECOME FRUSTRATED AT MYSELF
One of the things I try to do with my writing here -- I don't think I succeed -- is to create a sense of place. I want my vision of Canterville (named because I felt keeping "Canterlot", even if canon, was dumb and "Camelot" was even dumber) to feel like a proper city despite itself. Follow me for more word-barf.
Hello readers! Welcome back after a spectacular Life, The Universe, and Everything writing convention! I hope you were able to attend, or if not, that you’ll be checking their youtube channel to see what’s posted as they upload panel recordings! The experience was incredible!
Howdy ya'll!
First things first, I got a new story up for you all to enjoy if it's to your liking. This one's a Fluttershy x Spike tale, where the two become friends with interesting benefits. Give it a gander if you're interested!
I just sent my pre-readers/editors the next chapter of AfaS, hopefully I can have it ready to publish in 2-3 days. I am proceeding with my next chapter while I work on my other stories, though AfaS is my priority. Currently I converted the theme of one of my side projects, which will probably get released next October, since it definitely won't be ready for this Halloween/Nightmare Night.
Hello everyone!
Just a little notation of how October's gone for me and what I'm up to. To go down the list:
1. Wrote a horror story that I just now posted before making this blog post. It'll be attached to this, so give it a read for me attempting to be spooky!
2. Work at the library has been keeping me busy, but in a good way. I still have time to work on stories and things which is nice, without feeling utterly exhausted.
Like. Original fiction. Yes. But also outlining things in advance is a good idea. SO. I'm just wondering if anyone has opinions before I do what want like I always do. In fact this post is just me organizing my thoughts about what I want to do for pony but if I phrase it as a question it's ENGAGEMENT right?
SHIT THAT IS ON THE TABLE:
1. Blueblood sequel. Actually technically the rest of the story.
Today, I uploaded the second chapter of Siren Days and I feel like it's a pretty big accomplishment~ Even though the chapter is short (Expect all chapters for this short story to be short), this marks the first time I've done a POV change in my story. Don't worry, it won't happen a LOT outside of this short story, but it's still an achievement for me~ Regardless, enjoy the short upload!

So, in typical fashion, I'm late with this. I've been dealing with some family events and preparation leading up to my birthday on January 15th. Also, I've now fallen down the DnD podcast rabbit hole once again and got really into Ken Ashcorp, particularly the song he made for Nyanners. And I've been catching up with an old friend, getting really into witchy business (starting slow, nothing too wild, but I have a pendulum now, she is a black obsidian and her name is Void). Anyway, got another
Hello readers, and welcome back to another installment of Being a Better Writer! A little late today, as my morning ended up running a little long. But still here on Monday, so that’s what counts.
first, that's a metaphor. i am not dead, and i am feeling surprisingly non-suicidal, so take that as you will.
over the last few days i reached out to what i hope are all my commissioners, offering them full refunds on their purchases. i won't share any more details about that here, other than to say it's something that i can't really afford but am hoping to sort out through various means.
I'm still alive. I'm just very, very tired. Having a disease like ME/CFS is not much fun.
Teaching is very difficult with my disabilities, even with a reduced load. I'm pretty sure I'll make it through this semester, but I'm not sure what I'm going to do to manage this in the future. I have Summer off. I'll need time to think. I don't have that time right now.
Heyo guys!
Sorry for the long wait, but I've been stuck on this part of the story for a while. I knew what I wanted to do, just not how to translate it into a chapter...
Until now!
I was actually well on my way, but I still had some planning issues. Then I had an idea while I was work, and then it all clicked into place!

Ello again lads! I know it's been a few weeks since I last updated, I've been really busy with packing, sorting out my finance and among other things, I also fucked up my left wrist a few days ago and I'm currently on the mend for that. I've been on and off with three chapters on the go so I can release them as soon as I get myself settled in my student accommodation for University.
Looking at re-writing Spot of Tea again. Probably going to do it so it can be posted at the same time as the next chapter of A Deer Named John. Main goal will be to overhaul it to make it read like the other chapters of John. Then I will most likely be unpublishing Spot of Tea and attaching it to A Deer Named John as the prologue. Not entirely happy about it, but simply aiming for consistency. It will mean the loss of all comments on Spot of Tea which saddens me. Also the votes and views, but
This is the last member of the main trio for the story I'm writing about, then I shall move on to the returning characters. Today we have Rosetta, a dragon who is passive-aggressive in conflicts. She has a thing for flowers and wears a crown and necklace of different kinds picked from meadows when pretending to be a Queen of Dragons. Her dream is to become the next princess/queen of dragons and connect with other nations, tribes, and countries to bring greater peace to the world, just like how
Great news!
The prologue and the four chapters posted have been edited, and redone! It is the same story, same outcome as you know it, but the language and writing has become so much better! At least according to myself. SoloBrony has done some amazing work, and we have been in daily discussion about the story and how to tackle certain writing paths.
