I'm trying to work up the nerve to do a proper fanfic novel. It wouldn't me my first novel -- I'm on draft 3 of an original novel. Writing that novel was fun, but I'm in the situation of "Statistically you usually have to write a few novels before you get published, and how do I follow this up before I get enough feedback to know what's working and what isn't?" Plus also I really love this first novel, warts and all, and making something I'll love as much seems near impossible.
God, who knows. At least the contest thing is done. I don't know why I do contests? I guess because they get me outside my comfort zone? Except you know what else is outside my comfort zone?
Sex. Yeah. All my clop stories are secretly horror stories and no one but me knows it.
So I'm spending most of my time these days getting my original talking animal fantasy novel Hidemarket ready for beta. It's a pretty good book, at least relative to what I'm capable of producing. I have no idea what I'm going to do with it when I'm done; 'intelligent adult talking animal fantasy' seems like a hard sell. but that's a problem for after the beta readers are done with it.

Fanfic ideas -- when my head is in a good space, they are like fireflies on a summer evening: numerous, horny, and short-lived. In addition to many ponyfics that may never see the light of the world outside my hard drive, I'm outlining a short R-rated Fallout thing. Now, this story is extremely Fallout 4 specific. But, I have nearly no presence on AO3 and a pretty solid presence here. So. I'm asking: do you want to read a Captain Hairball Fallout: Equestria fic?

Getting off Party-Time Mint-als Twitter has freed up some of my creativity, and I've posted one of the clopfics that's been sitting on my hard drive forever. I like writing these. I like making ponies happy. Especially in ways that involve their butts. Anyway, go read Sweetie's Butt. People who like that sort of thing will find it is the sort of thing that they like.
