Feeling Better · 4:14pm April 18th

By which I mean I should have at least one chapter uploaded by the end of the month. It's slow going, but I should be able to finish something.

Restored and backed up (most of) the deleted files to a spare 1 terabyte hard drive I use specifically for backup purposes. Most text documents are fine (thank the stars for that), but most of the video and pictures that I had are either corrupted or just overwritten entirely.

Good thing most of the images were memes that I just downloaded off Discord. Video I'm gonna be a bit salty about tho 'cause I had a video of my dog playing with a ball. I can always record a new one though, I guess.

Injured · 8:14am Apr 22nd, 2017

Yesterday, while leaving home for work, I took a wrong way from my usual route and got hit my a motorcycle, now I sprained by ankle and my right arm as well as a bump on the head... The guy didn't even stop and help me. Took me at least thirty minutes to manage to call out since I'm in a lot of pain and can't muster enough strength up to pick my phone up and dial for my resident ambulance. As for now, on how am I typing this... using my left hand... and it's hard and took me longer than usual

Tiny, Tasty Teaser · 1:21am Sep 9th, 2018

So, I have the first few pages of a new story. It's barely related to the story I said I was working on a few months ago, except that it's a story about magical talking horses. Hope you're ready for another trip into Sweetie Belle's head.

“I never thought I’d see you again,” I said, lighting up my cigarette and drawing the smoke into me, ash burning my throat as smoke filled my lungs, and I blew it all out into Bright Lights’ dumb face. “I never wanted to see you again, either.”

Dammit... · 4:21am Feb 22nd, 2019

I had a really long blog post written on my phone from bed. And then, I pressed the wrong button...

Oh well. The point was I'd gathered my balls and got back to work this week. I have some job interviews and things are looking up for me. Now I feel silly for being a little cunt, etc.

Anyway, I may come back and retype everything at some point (not that I have readers :derpyderp1:) but the point was I'm better now. This site makes me feel better. You guys make me feel better.

Cheers

Been a while. · 8:09pm Sep 19th, 2019

Well it's been a bit since I made a blog post. So much has happened. Particularly my recovery from my injuries early last year is still ongoing, though most of what remains is regaining the strength lost while I was immobile. It's amazing how quickly muscles atrophy.

IN WHICH CRITICS SOMETIMES HAVE A POINT
I was supposed to be spending today dealing with my ex and her friends coming to get things out of my home, but bad weather forced them to take a rain check. As a result, I am here alone looking over my work, knowing I need to eat but too lazy to make food and too cheap to go out. My pillz often decrease my appetite – I only ate one meal yesterday.

IN WHICH I ASK YOU A QUESTION (No.1)
This will be a short one. A reader asked me if I'd consider combining all my Recovery Arc shorts into a single long story. In response, I gave a point-by-point answer on why I think it's a bad idea. But... what do you think? Should I do that after all of SRA is made public? Or not? What about the Burritoverse stories? Please let me know your opinion.

Peace out!

Frack, Frell, Faldercarb, and other fun words. · 5:53pm March 11th

That's me right now.

Though I have been recovering from my back injury, the rate of healing has been slow. Too slow, even for an older pony such as myself. I finally dragged my carcass over to a professional back-cracker who I know and has seen me in the past enough to know that when I show up in his office it's because I am in genuine pain.

He pokes, he prods. I make noises at what I think are appropriate moments. Then he turns me around and looks me in the eye, saying:

For the first time in eight years, I've been off narcotics for going-on nine days straight.
(Note: these were prescription narcotics I'm able to drop now following surgical intervention.)

With that in mind, have a story from the heart.

The Umpqua Community College Shooting Incident Pt. 2 · 8:36pm Oct 7th, 2015

This was written six days after the shooting

Hey guys, Kablam here again with my update of how I feel about the shooting that happened almost a week ago. It’s a little strange going back to that moment in life. It feels like it almost didn’t happen. Some of my auto-buddies have made comments about the surreality of the whole situation.

IN WHICH INSPIRATION HAPPENS
Maybe I should coffee more often, as caffeine seems to jump-start what amounts to my writing ability. But I'll talk about that below the jump. I left my home today to place an order at the grocery store for a fresh turkey for Thanksgiving (so much better than frozen). So I feel somewhat accomplished. Yay. Anyway...

Well as I posted in one of the recent chapters of The Blue Mage, I've recovered enough use in my left hand to type normally. Though with how much the muscles atrophied, I'm still a little clumsy when typing and my hand tires easily. Even so, I've been doing a lot of typing lately on both old projects and new... too many really.

Help Wanted: reviewers, review readers, and counselors · 4:13pm Sep 5th, 2015

We at the Angry Review Recovery Group hope to change the face of reviews on FIMfiction. It seems as though readers, writers and critics believe that there are only two kinds of reviews: harsh, cruel and unforgiving kinds that deter and discourage growth, and overly nice, "pat-on-the-head" kinds that ignore the author's mistakes. We wish to meet in the middle, and provide honest reviews that point out flaws, provide advice on how to fix them, highlight the positives, and encourage growth,
