The night before my dad and I went to see The Producers on the big screen, we sat down and watched a movie he'd rented earlier that week.
Tropic Thunder.
I'd heard of it, knew it was some kind of war movie comedy, but knew next to nothing else about it.
...Good Lord, was I in for a hell of a night.
Yeah, I almost forgot I was doing these too!
Meet the edgy little edgelord stepsibling of Pony-Me that was quite literally yeeted out of the chapters of Pony-Me after it got too edgy for its own good.
Short to say, I'm glad I decided to separate these chapters from the original story and dump 'em into a separate fic.
Hey, guys and welcome to another installment of Tom’s reviews.
This is one I’ve been wanting to do for a while.
So...I’ve been a huge fan of Thomas the Tank Engine, ever since I was a baby. I grew up watching Thomas and his fellow engines’ misadventures on the Island of Sodor even when I was past the age for it and it’s a major reason why I got into YouTube and online media in general. It helped make me the person I am today and I’m proud to share a name with the little blue tank engine.
O hecc. I skipped over this on accident. Whoopsies.
Right off the get-go, this story was a massive shift from what I'd previously written, and what I would say was my first "flagship story" of sorts. For one, the story is based fully within existing MLP lore, with me only tacking on my own bits afterward, rather than vice-versa.

Written and directed by Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi, What We Do in the Shadows is a 2014 mockumentary / horror-comedy about an eccentric group of vampires who live in a flat in Wellington, New Zealand. Their day-to-day (or is that "night-to-night"? XD) lives are recorded by a specially hired documentary crew.
Story review #8: Obelus —by applejackofalltrades
Warning this story and the review talk about: Suicide and Suicidal thoughts
Character’s:
Sunset Shimmer: Sunset is actually really in character compared to a lot of fanfics I’ve read (mine included)
And her anxiety about something/insomnia all matched up to her in canon self pretty well. I also so think she would be the overprotective Gf to Wallflower if they were in a relationship.
Spoiler-free TLDR: It was actually pretty good! Go watch it if you’re able and haven’t, then come back and read this.
Grading Scale:
A (fantastic episode)
A- (an excellent episode with at least one flaw)
B+ (a great episode with a couple of flaws)
B (a good episode which still could have been better)
B- (a good episode with numerous flaws but still rewatchable)
This week, I'm looking back at a special story for me. The story that got me into fan fiction and MLP fan fiction in the first place.
The Dresden Fillies: Strange Friends by Psychicscubadiver
I was already a fan of the Dresden Files by Jim Butcher before I got into MLP. To quote one of the major characters in the series:
Rating Scale:
12/10—a complete masterpiece; flawless and outstanding
11/10—Excellent, near-perfect film
10/10—the standard rating; awesome film with a couple of flaws
9/10—a wonderful film with several flaws
8/10–a great film with numerous flaws but not enough to ruin it
Neat. It's the first story I wrote that actually stuck around on my top 4 stories list on my about page for a decent amount of time. It took ages for another story to come around and boot it off the list.
This was very much a one-off story I wrote because I could back in the day. Nowadays it probably would've popped up as an entry in What If instead, but eh.
Woke up today, saw my feed was full ‘o movie reviews. So I went to watch it.
My Little Pony: A New Generation
I decided to do it as a my-little-reaction kinda thingie, so no fridge logic, not yet.
Spoilers below here.
Two reviews in one day. Wow.
Fluttershy running one of Rarity's shops?! What could possibly go wrong?!
WARNING!!! The following contains SPOILERS for the latest episode of MLP “Applejack’s “Day” Off”.
Now, without further a-what-the-heck-was-that-do, here is my review of “Applejack’s “Day” Off”.
so the first arc to season 10 is done it was going seeing zecora being reunited with her old friends finding a new tree of harmony and zecora and her friends bcomeing the new elements of harmony and their seems to be a mystery due to the fact their seems to be more than one tree of harmony and possibly 6 in each area where the others are venturing.....sadly we now know why zecora was not in the final episode while applejacks group went home zecora stayed behind with her friends as the elements
Today I started my project of rewatching ALL of MLP:FiM. Today was Episodes 1 & 2. I have not rewatched Season 1 in a while but I'm glad to restart it.
I don't have many faults with this episode but based on the later season openers and finales it's not my favorite. It gives us a good introduction to each one of the characters as well as their elements. If not predictable it was thoroughly enjoyable. From the immediate first re-viewing Rainbow Dash and Rarity stuck out to me as great.
Greetings, my friends.
This is your friendly film, TV show, and episode reporter here with another review.
Today, for my 45th episode analysis, and the first installment of my "Thanksgiving Treat", I'm gonna give you guys my take of "It's Magic, Charlie Brown"
