Clear Spark, now a young stallion, has overcome his troubled youth to become a smart and intelligent resident of Ponyville. With Zecora's help, he developed an aloe hybrid that has accelerated healing properties and aims to try and find a way to grow the new strain on a mass scale. However, even with Apple Bloom's sudden pregnancy announcement, things are not as they seem on the surface. Foes both old and new lurk in the shadows, and threaten every step as he tries to show even the blind can see the good in life.

Equestria is still picking up the pieces after the defeat of Tirek, and everypony is helping out with the paperwork, even Rainbow Dash. Things change when Princess Celestia arrives, bringing with her a letter with some very stunning accusations of the exploits of a resident in the town of Oasis. Now, the main six are tasked with finding out if the letter was truth or fiction. Did this Mister Baker really do what they claim? Only one way to find out.

However, Mister Baker is not who, or what they expected.

All actions have consequences, and those consequences can vary widely. A single phrase can change so much.

Things are looking brighter for Twilight, but she is still vulnerable and recovering, and all of the ramifications of what happened haven't come to fruition yet.

Twilight is Rainbow's best friend, and Rainbow is Twilight's best friend. Both of them are struggling with their feelings and what happened, but Rainbow has promised to be there for Twilight, and she will keep her promises, even as the consequences reach a boiling point and threaten their fledgling relationship.

Twilight lives a comfortable, expected life with the security of being surrounded by her mentors and friends. When Twilight returns Cerberus to Tartarus, the last thing she expects to find and happen is to meet the ruler of the realm herself.

Even less so when that pony, Penumbra, turns out to be an alicorn. As she spends more time with the mysterious mare, Twilight finds herself drawn to her.

Unable and unwilling to leave Penumbra alone, Twilight strikes a deal with her to allow her to leave Tartarus. A deal that will change both of their lives.

Here I am, thrown in as a changling Queen far before the Canterlot invasion, watch as I- A: make my whole race terrified of me B: overthrow a changeling god! C: die, a lot. D: all of the above.

This story is a sequel to Winds of Change

Changelings have always been a secretive race, shrouded in mystery and keeping to themselves, staying unnoticed and in the shadows, feeding where they could and avoiding discovery at all costs. When Chrysalis made peace with Celestia, the veil of secrecy and subterfuge was shattered, and thanks to Twilight's efforts, the other changeling queens can no longer remain hidden.

Of course, Twilight is more than happy to leave the tricky diplomacy to Celestia. She's having a hard enough time dealing with her own amorous changeling queen and her new personal pegasus guard competing with her.
