After being driven out of Ponyville following the incident with the Ursa, The Great and Powerful Trixie flees into the Everfree forest, where she meets a mysterious masked stallion named Herald. Herald offers Trixie a chance to learn ancient magic that will truly make her the most powerful unicorn in Equestria, by offering her a book that not even Twilight Sparkle has ever read. But there is a reason Twilight's never read this book, and there is more to Herald than there appears...

Unlike Rarity's very public kidnapping, Rainbow Dash's is whilst she is alone so the other Elements and Princesses are woefully unprepared for what is about to hit them and Equestria. What are Flare's goals and what is everypony going to do about it? In the meantime, a far greater but largely forgotten evil waits in the shadows with terrible designs for the entirety of Equus. The fate of Equus itself lies in the balance of both friends and enemies alike. It is ultimately a tale of making severe mistakes and facing the consequences. The only thing for certain is that past grievances will be faced and hopefully resolved whilst one particular ruler must face the major mistakes that she made in the past.

Timeline note; The story is set after "Keep Calm and Flutter On" but before "Magical Mystery Cure." Two years have passed since the events of the Summer Sun Celebration.

Hellhounds are dark creatures that inhabit the pits of the Underworld and punish the souls of the damned. Sometimes, they are sent out to drag the souls of the damned to the Underworld where they proceed to devour them over and over again. Sometimes, they are sent out alone, but others sent in packs. Either way, it's a terrifying experience to have a Hellhound hunting you. No matter where you go, a Hellhound will find you.

Frightfang is a Hellhound puppy who's simply trying to live his best life possible. Due to the nature of his species, he spends as much time fighting his siblings as he does playing with them. One day, a bunch of colorful mortal creatures actually come to the Underworld without being dragged there by one or more Hellhounds. When he accidentally follows them outside the gates, he tracks them back to Ponyville. The populace becomes terrified of the demonic pup. However, before the mob could do anything, a creamy Pegasus steps in and saves him.

How will Fluttershy handle a creature from a species that are naturally dark and destructive?

The ponies fell deathly ill in mere days, coughing phlegm and blood as their muscles shriveled; crops withered and died as a poisonous odor permeated the air. And if that weren't enough, strange bellowings and roars could be heard from the distant woods.

A plea for help summoned two of the Pillars of Equestria: the Mage Meadowbrook, the Mystical Mask who could cure any sickness, and the mighty Rockhoof, mover of mountains and tamer of monsters.

When they respond, the two heroes quickly determine that this is no ordinary disease. Following the trail, they find the true source of the plague, and soon must battle for not just the villagers' lives, but their own...

Somepony finds herself alone in the woods, with no idea of who or really what she is. Is she in danger, or is she the danger?

It is Nightmare Night and Celestia and Luna along with their party of adventurers rest in a tavern within this strange land. They are approached by a stranger of this uncharted realm and gives them a warning of what they are up against.

Trains are the fastest way to move something across Equestria, no matter how big. A heavy stone sarcophagus, for instance, one brimming with dark magic. The Royal Guard just launched a raid to retrieve it from the hooves of sinister cultists.

Now, the survivors of that raid are stuffed in a train crossing the wilderness. Just them, the skeleton crew, and the sarcophagus. Guarding it until they can get reinforcements at the next station ought to be easy. After all, there’s nothing else alive for miles. Right?

Wrong. There’s something on board with them. Something after the sarcophagus. Something that doesn’t care what stands in its way.
