This story takes place in the same universe as Summer Sun Tournament, but the events occur separately and unrelated to each other.

Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo love playing Duel Monsters, but they're not the best at it. A night time fly to clear her head ends up with a surprise, now Princess Luna finds herself taking care of what appears to be a little foal bat-pony who may be just what Luna needs...and Luna may just be what Flutterbat needs as well

Royal Guard Silver Birch knows Princess Luna's history, and her... extreme reactions to being neglected in the past. When it seems Luna has been snubbed yet again, he and his partner Winter Garden take action to shield their Princess from this slight, and spare Equestria her terrible wrath.
