It's date night for Twilight and Luna, and they're both enthusiastic in their planning and preparations. Unfortunately, Celestia and Rarity both find out, and confessions are in order...

Yes, I know the title is an obvious and shameless joke and I should feel bad. You come up with a better title.

One night, Twilight remembers her childhood, of the first time she heard the old mares tale of the mare in the moon. Princess Luna overhears her.

This is very short. It's nothing amazing, but from what people have told me, it's sweet.

It was written before the Nightmare Night episode.

I like this story the way it is.

Celestia leaves to deal with a foreign crisis, giving her sister a chance to rule alone and become more attached to the modern world. She calls on Twilight Sparkle to advise Luna, hoping her student will be able to draw Luna out of her shell. With two major threats to Equestria already defeated in the past year, it seems like the perfect time to let Luna gain some confidence and experience in the modern world. After all, what are the chances of a third disaster occurring?

Twilight Sparkle has finally begun to accept and settle into her new castle home, but the young princess still yearns for greater knowledge and adventure. Will yet another unexpected visit from Princess Luna reveal some insight into the mysteries of the night?

Twilight has discovered a new spell to use in tandem with the Elements of Harmony. Its intent is to reveal more of the mysteries behind the artifacts. Yet once the spell is cast will the mane six be able to deal with the consequences? What will they learn when they come face to face with the very virtues they claim to embody? Today I learned that sometimes how you say something can be just as important as what you have to say. It's easy to forget the true strength of words and all the subtle ways they can bring us closer together or push us apart. It doesn't matter if you're a filly in Ponyville or an Alicorn Princess in Canterlot, words are powerful.

There's still so much to learn about friendship. But I think I'm ready to start.

As part of her search for somepony to assist her with legal matters, Twilight spends most of her time interviewing potential candidates. When this results in her neglecting her friends, Rarity decides to take matters into her own hooves.

By which she means getting a job interview with Twilight and acting as unprofessionally as possible.
