It's Nightmare Night and Discord's first since he was reformed. He's been looking forward to it for months and even put together a neat costume to go with it. Until Celestia sends him a message saying he's not allowed to go.

Down in Ponyville, the ponies are preparing for a night that will never be forgotten- but nothing could have prepared them for this.
Spike's an alicorn, Twilight's a dragon, Rainbow Dash is her favourite daring adventurer, Rarity's a vampire, Pinkie Pie and Applejack are changelings, Fluttershy's dead and Sombra and Chrysalis have returned. And I'm not referring to costumes!

What is going on here?!

Twilight Sparkle never meant to do anything wrong. But then again, all magical mistakes are caused by ponies who have no idea what happened. That's why they're called mistakes. The only difference with Twilight's mistake is that it accidentally sort of turned her into Princess Celestia. And now she doesn't know how to change back.

It is the day before the Fall Formal when the beautifully decorated gym erupts in a mysterious slime explosion. Rainbow Dash, although innocent, is sentenced to clean up the mess, while the Fall Formal is being postponed, much to the chagrin of the other students.

Twilight offers her help to the distressed Rainbow Dash. As they start cleaning the gym, they also have to face the angry reactions of the other students together. But Twilight has a secret agenda that Rainbow must not learn about.

Set in an alternate Equestria Girls universe where the events from the movie have not happened.

When Twilight comes back from her week long visit to her brother's house, she finds out that everything has changed. Canterlot High is babbling about some magic girl from another world, but Twilight knows better. There's no such thing as magic, or portals into other worlds.

Right?

EDIT: Wow. Never expected the feature. And by the way, thank you for anyone who commented with a consructive criticism. I'll be reading as many as I can and keeping them all in mind for the future chapters as well as going back to edit the past ones periodically. Enjoy the story!

EDIT 2: Went into the first chapter and tried to fix up the 'Twilight did X' issue that many people commented on. (Thank you to those who did.) Hopefully it is a bit more readable now.

EDIT 3: After fan feedback on a massive error I made where Princess Cadence was an out of control lunatic, I rewrote the Twilight meets Twilight scene so that it flows better and actually stays in character. Thank you for anyone who made a comment about this, I am listening to your feedback and writing my future chapters accordingly. (If there are any more of these, I'm going to keep these in a changelog in a blog post.)

The G1 ponies find a door connecting to the G4 world, and some of them form an expedition, with Megan and her siblings coming along. Ponies meet ponies, and the mane 6 are given a new gift. Meanwhile on Earth, a veteran Ranger finds himself reunited with an old friend he thought had left him. There is an impending gathering of friends old and new, where ponies will meet Rangers. Everything seems to be going fine.

But we all know that can't last, don't we? For an old enemy is plotting in secret, and will soon seize her chance.

When Fluttershy begins to have serious migraines and develops a lump on her head, she begins to worry she has a tumor. But when Celestia calls for a private audience with the shy Pegasus, it is revealed that they have a distant Family Relationship.
Fluttershy now has to deal with being an Alicorn, and learning all the skills and abilities needed to be one. But with her newfound ability of Foresight, will she be able to save Equestria from the return of the ruthless Alicorn Race, or will she choose to become a regular Pony, like everyone else?

Alternate ending for Magical Mystery Cure

Juggling two personalities, the new 'Twilight Pie" attempts to have fun and party while still investigating the scientific implications of this strange biological occurrence. At Rarity and Fluttershys behest Twilight agrees to swap their talents for a day, the plan goes awry when Twilight accidentally ends up switching their minds between their bodies. The effect, fortunately not permanent, allows both ponies to proceed with their original plans unfazed. Rarity however, gets quickly carried away with her newfound self...
