When Twilight casted Starswirled the Bearded's spell, she mixed up everyponies cutie marks. When she saw Applejack making dresses, they stunk. But that was not the issue.... Applejack said would y'all give me a hand here and help me fix this mess.... what does Applejack know about hands?

One of the hardest things is knowing I chose to come here. Sometimes, I have my regrets. Sometimes, I know it's for the better in the end. Sometimes, however... It's too much to handle. I've been away from everybody in Equestria for so long now... Thirty moons ago I left, and now, here I am, being blessed with the opportunity to go back to the place I loved so much...

Darkness. It was a strange and ominous thing. It creeped through every crack and absorbed the light. The murkiness was clouded and it filled Sunset Shimmer’s eyes as they slowly peered open. She looked around, dazed and confused on what was happening, and where she was. The smell of forest filled her lungs as she stood up slowly on her feet hooves. She paused, her hooves. She screamed, ’What?!’ She examined the rest of herself. “Oh no no no no, this can’t possibly be right!”

Sunset Shimmer feels mistreated at Canterlot High and wants to go back to Equestria. She asks Twilight to convince the Princess to let her return. Adventure ensues and possibly a romance between the Princess's student and ex-student.

After months of hard rehabilitation from her new friends, Sunset Shimmer was slowly relapsing back to her old bully mentality that caused so much heartbreak many months ago.

What if ended up in another place helped her realize that she was slipping back to the dark side.

What if that place was home?

A tear in space has appeared inside Canterlot Castle, and Twilight Sparkle is called to investigate. But shortly after its appearance, an intruder is found to be looking for someone in particular: Twilight herself. When her crown is stolen, she must pursue the unknown thief through the tear and into a world utterly alien to her. And she must accomplish her goal before the tear closes itself, and she is trapped forever amongst these aliens.

Sunset Shimmer wants nothing more than to be able to enjoy the holidays with her friends, but the festive season does nothing more than remind her of how alone and cold she's been for so many years. Is it possible for her to learn to love the holidays again?
