Sunset Shimmer was redeemed, and together with her friends they summoned the power of the rainbow to defeat the sirens, friendships that if she were still a pony would last forever. But high school ends, people go to college….and one does not become a direct conduit for the magic of The Rainbow without being forever changed.

Now Sunset returns home and discovers she has changed far more than the world she once left behind has.

The start of the virus was unknown, but it started and spread through Equestria like wildfire, killing countless thousands of ponies. Hardly any are still alive, and the ones that are struggle to survive. The Mane Six are a few of the survivors, and this is a short, yet dark, tale of their struggle to survive.

A Special Displaced Tale

Now uncancelled.

Whilst relaxing in the Everfree Forest, Discord happens upon the strangest of sights. A pony! A pony not fleeing in terror of some nameless horror, but seemingly having the time of her life here in the dark, wild woodland.

At first, he sees nothing but the perfect opportunity for some mischief, but once he realises who that pony is and actually gets talking to her, the spirit of chaos realises that perhaps there's more to Tree Hugger than incense and flower power.

Twilight despises chocolate milk. She hates it. Defiles it. She throws it on the ground, and spits in its puddle of calcium goodness. Chocolate milk has haunted her since her childhood, and Twilight vows to never drink it at all. She can't stand it! However... somepony in the Ponyville community dares to bring this sweet treat before her, and the innocent peace offering doesn't end very well. This is the tragic event that takes place on a summer afternoon in Ponyville.

After attempting to recover a significant amount of lost matter in a teleportation mishap, Twilight Sparkle begins to exhibit strange symptoms.

As this goes on, a strange droning emanates from the newly discovered caverns underneath her Crystal Castle.

The worst part is, nopony in the town seems to believe her.
