Apple Bloom gets out of school for the day only to be disappointed by the fact that Big Macintosh's boyfriend, Caramel, is yet again not with her brother to pick her up. Three days prior, an incident occurred at that same schoolhouse that led to Caramel shutting himself in his home. While trying to understand why, Big Macintosh finds it best to explain to Apple Bloom that some ponies are simply against the idea of the two dating. Some ponies, such as Caramel, find it hard to simply shake off the words of others. Regardless, she tries her best to understand.

Rarity just had a perfect date with a perfect colt! But something isn’t right.
She goes to her old childhood journal for inspiration. As she reads she notices a trend.
Hmm, she sure did write about Applejack a lot…

Rainbow Dash never learned to shave her legs. That didn't used to be a problem, but lately it's been starting to make her feel uncomfortable in front of other girls. Rarity doesn't completely understand how Rainbow feels, but she's willing to do just about anything to help out a friend.

Even if that means skipping class to give shaving instructions in the girl's locker room.

What can make a girl's legs look adorable better than a pair of striped socks? Twilight spent long nights deducing formulas and studying the history of women's hosiery, trying in vain to find a competent rival for such a wonderful piece of clothing. But as she proceeded with her studies, she came to a terminal conclusion that striped socks were cuter than any of their counterparts by far.

But scientific method, besides theory, consisted of practice. Now the issue was finding an appropriate lab rat. A great and powerful lab rat, preferably.
