Celestia and Luna have jointly ruled Equestria for centuries, and the land has been stable and prosperous under their rule, yet both of them have been slowly growing less and less enthused as the demands of their subjects begin to mount. As the two princesses approach their breaking points, it seems that the only thing that will stave off the destruction of Equestria is that both goddesses seem more focused on each other than the world at large. In the midst of this crisis, Twilight Sparkle, a newly commissioned officer in the Royal Guard, seeks what may be the only viable solution to this problem: locating the Elements of Harmony before either goddess can destroy them.

During a lull in the conversation at an upper class charity dinner, Rarity takes a moment to contemplate some commonly held assumptions made of Princess Celestia. Specifically, her table manners.

Kids. Kids. Who are you gonna believe, some old book, or your Uncle Bad Horse?

So, anyway. Like I was saying. Once upon a time...

(One of those damn kids had a wire on him, and put recordings on that tubey thing, one, two, three. And made a video. And wrote it all down, in Russian.)

Pinkie Pie is faced with a daunting order of twenty-two batches of cupcakes, a twitching tail, and the barriers of common logic. Luckily, Twilight Sparkle comes to her rescue, and together, they defeat all three in one fell swoop. The result is an entirely reasonable and logical progression. There is only one Batch. Batch-22.

Scootaloo is crushed when Sweetie Belle decides she'd rather go to the Sisterhooves Social with Rarity than play at being police robot Roboclop with her.

Scootaloo has a plan. A plan that involves kidnap, ghost pirate treasure, and re-enacting violent plays about robots which are unsuitable for small fillies to view. Nothing can go wrong - after all, isn't that what friendship is all about?

King Sombra has a problem. A Twilight Sparkle shaped problem. The evil ruler of the Crystal Kingdom is about to be overthrown unless he can hold out until reinforcements arrive.

Seven days of keeping Twilight at bay. What's the worst that can happen?

All he has to lose is his self-respect and dignity...
