With Applejack laid up and Big Macintosh handling a large delivery to Appleloosa, it's up to the unlikeliest of ponies to represent Sweet Apple Acres in competition.

It has been exactly one year since the defeat of Nightmare Moon and the return of Princess Luna. As preparations get underway for the Summer Sun Celebration once again, Luna is called upon to fulfill a promise she made to the very ponies who saved her from the Nightmare.

This was my submission to Happy Luna's Super Magically Fun Storytime Adventure Challenge held by Midnight Shadow on Equestria Daily.

According to Lauren Faust, Luna wasn't evil in the first place as she became Nightmare Moon due to being possessed by some outside force which made her change. This force was torn from the princess and has not been seen in over a year until the most unlikely pony happens across it and discovers that history is not always as it is told, and as her world crumbles around her she is faced with a choice no filly should have to make.
