It's a bright, sunny day, perfect for reorganizing the library! But during the task, Spike uncovers a yearbook from Twilight's time in the School for Gifted Unicorns, and learns of her first true friend: Marigold. Twilight decides that it's time to share her story of her first friendship, of how Marigold opened Twilight's eyes to the unimaginable, and of the tragedy that would push the filly duo far past what either could ever imagine.

A pony can choose to do many things in his or her life before he or she dies: he could be a farmer, bringing in produce and commerce to the kingdom, or she could be a rebel, fighting to further her cause. Death visits everypony, however: the farmer hopes to leave his farm in capable hooves before he passes, and the rebel hopes to have finished the fight for whatever cause she was fighting for before her time comes.

Sometimes, death likes to come calling early: the farmer taken before his prime provides no additional produce; and the rebel becomes a martyr, causing others to fight in her place.

Sometimes, rather than kill a pony, it is better to leave him or her broken.

"Suppose I killed them all?"

I have lived a hard and long life, a life not many survive. I've stolen more then I care to brag about and done better at it then anypony before me. But what will I leave behind... will I die lonely and forgotten from the minds of ponies everywhere...or will I leave... a Legacy.

Luna discovers something hidden from Celestia for twenty years, now, with emotions running high, she enlists the help of the Mane 6... but what seemed to be a single mystery, soon reveals a darker and much more complicated plot that will soon decide the fate of Equestria.

She still struggles with the events of that fateful night - the night the moon made its permanent place in the sky. After one fateful encounter, though, the course of Equestrian history shifts yet again as she begins to truly see this Nightmare. And maybe, just maybe, she and Nightmare Moon aren't so different.

First ever fic and thank you all for the support! Revisions of it will be done at some point: looking back... it needs it.

When Nightmare Moon was defeated Luna thought that part of her was gone for ever. But, it wasn't, all these years it has been growing, gaining strength in order to take revenge upon Celestia, The Elements of Harmony, Equestria and most importantly, Luna.

This is my first piece of writing. I am sort of just going with the flow here, I haven't exactly planned it out but hey, why not? I've gone over the stuff several times and I think its okay.
Feedback would be greatly appreciated.

History is a vague thing. It is written by those who are left behind to tell the tale. Who can tell truth from fiction if any chance for a viable reference is far beyond reach?

What knowledge is altered? What is lost? What is hidden away?

And for what purpose?

Knowledge can be a powerful yet dangerous tool. Especially dangerous for those that rely on knowledge alone.
