During the Winter Wrap Up, Twilight tells Spike that Ponyville was formed by earth ponies, and for hundreds of years nopony used magic for the Winter Wrap Up. But Granny Smith had been part of the founding of Ponyville when she was just a filly. When the Cutie Mark Crusaders get wind of this strange occurence, even stranger revalations come to light.

Applejack realizes the truth about apples.

One specific day at school, Applebloom is part of the last group of her class to go to the new building installed behind the school. The first group came back considerably stressed and tired, something that frightens Applebloom. What happened in that building?

After a run-in with Poison Joke, the CMC learn the reason that Zecora always rhymes when she talks. It... wasn't what they were expecting.

The Cutie Mark Crusaders have been tasked with their greatest challenge yet - cook dinner for themselves and Rarity, wholly unsupervised! Can they rise to the occasion and take their first tentative steps towards adulthood without accidentally causing some form of catastrophe?

History teaches us the answer is "no".

T'was the night before Hearth's Warming
throughout all of Equestria.
Cold wind whipped the windows,
yet inside all kept cozy.
Every mare, every stallion, every colt and each filly,
was sleeping quiet soundly 'neath star-studded skies.
Their souls full of cheer, their dreams full of presents,
no one could imagine a more peaceful scene.
But far off from the land ruled by Princesses two,
someone was awake; with dark schemes for the evening.
Will Hearth's Warming be saved by an unlikely hero?
Or will a spiraling narrative ruin it forevermore?
