(Story idea requested by superfun. Takes place before "The Ending of the End".)

In her spare time while preparing to take over the School of Friendship, Starlight Glimmer begins to get into spell experimentation again. And one day she calls Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy over to volunteer with a swapping spell.

When Starlight casts it, Pinkie and Fluttershy inadvertently end up having their personalities completely swapped! Starlight then frantically searches for a way to reverse the effects and return her friends to normal.

Meanwhile, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy decide that with their swapped personalities it'll be easier if they switch jobs and do each others' work: Pinkie at Sweet Feather Sanctuary and Fluttershy at Sugarcube Corner. Both will soon learn just how difficult the other's work really is, and may just develop a new appreciation for what the work involves.

A story set in an Equestria that could have been...

Rarity, the personal student of Princess Luna, defeated Daybreaker with her new friends and reawakened the lost Elements of Harmony. With Princess Celestia's return, the long-lost tradition of the Summer Sun Celebration is going to be revived for the first time in a thousand years - but first Celestia will need to reclaim her power over the Sun!

Don't worry, there's no previous story you missed that explains the setting. I was thinking of which characters could have their roles swapped, and I got to thinking - what if I just switched everyone? Depending on how people like this, I might write stories centered around other swapped pairings.

This story is a sequel to Ask Not the Sparrow

This story is set in the same AU as Ask Not The Sparrow - if you haven't read that, it's fine, but be aware that most characters have been swapped with their closest counterparts.

Ponyville Days is the biggest event of the season, or at least it will be once Rarity gets her hooves on it. She's invited a special guest to town, one who has a certain amount of history with one of her friends. Will things go as planned, or will it all end in disaster?

Since it's been at least a week since the last disaster, most ponies are already placing bets on which half of town gets destroyed.

A big thanks to all my readers. This one took a surprising amount of time to write, even though I had the whole idea in my head start to finish almost from the get-go. Some scenes just didn't want to come together, and it took a while to polish them. I hope you enjoy, and I've already got another story planned out for this continuity.

CURRENTLY GOING THROUGHT A REWRITE

Sunset Shimmer, the prized student of Princess Celestia, is sent to Ponyville to prepare the Summer Sun Celebration. Unknowingly to her, her actual mission is to stop Nightmare Moon. However, she was never meant to be the Element of Magic.

With Celestia gone, Equestria is left unprotected against the mad alicorn. Twilight Sparkle, the faithful student of Princess Celestia, is determined to avenge her master and save the kingdom.

IMPORTANT: While this story was being written, some things in canon changed. That means a few things here are going to conflict with canon. Please bear with me on this.

For example, here Maud is the older sister, with Limestone and Marble being middle twins, and Pinkie being the youngest. Also, the friends Twilight had in Canterlot are not the same ponies that live/visit Ponyville frequently. Because silly canon is silly.

It has been many years since the war started...

Chrysalis and her armies rolled over our defenses, overwhelming our forces with sheer numbers. We fought a fighting retreat, always on the run from the swarm. We thought it would be over, that this would be the end of Equestria, and the end of Harmony...

But it was not so. We gathered our strength and held our ground, at last. Desperately our soldiers fought on and held the swarm off. Ponies took up arms to bolster our ranks or grabbed a tool to aid the war industry.

And now, after all these years, we remain in a stalemate. The Changelings adopted their own variant of total warfare. They launch raids on defensive positions at night, send bomber squadrons to destroy civilian centers all across Equestria and sink civilian cruisers out on the sea.

The war drags on, and my ponies grow tired of grieving the loss of their homes and loved ones. It is time for Equestria to commit to this war and leave behind our outdated principles of pacifism and harmony.

This war has brought upon us a new age. And with it, a new Equestria must rise!

Months have passed since I first saw the Light. Back when the Empress shared her wisdom with me and enlightened me about the true path towards Harmony.

These months have been interesting for me. As a student of Empress Daybreaker, I was given the opportunity to gain much previously locked away knowledge. In addition, my new position as the 'Grand Inquisitor' bestows upon me the task of securing Harmony within Equestria and ensuring our ponies are safe.

And still, another mission awaits me, yet. A task that will lead me up North towards a familiar face. There is much at stake, too much for me to bear, I feel.

I just hope this goes right...

This Story takes place in the Equestria at War universe.

This is a sequel to A New Equestria. Reading it beforehand is recommended but not ultimately necessary.

One winter in Ponyville, Pinkie Pie is forced to move out of Sugercube Corner when an infestation of sugar mites in her room gets to be too troublesome. Luckily for Pinkie, Fluttershy has space in her home and doesn't mind having a friend over in a time of need!

But having Pinkie around so often leads Fluttershy to discover feelings she didn't even know she had. Is there more to these random bouts of flushed cheeks? And if so, what will Pinkie do when she finds out?

That is, if Fluttershy tells her.

Pinkie is interrupted while making Cupcakes for Lyra by Mrs. Cake, who is searching for her husband. Pinkie, however, has already promised Mr. Cake to keep his whereabouts secret for the surprise he is preparing. Mrs. Cake’s reaction prompts Pinkie to consider her relationships and herself. Again.

Set during season 2. Probably plays the teensiest bit loose with cannon.
