Pinkie is interrupted while making Cupcakes for Lyra by Mrs. Cake, who is searching for her husband. Pinkie, however, has already promised Mr. Cake to keep his whereabouts secret for the surprise he is preparing. Mrs. Cake’s reaction prompts Pinkie to consider her relationships and herself. Again.

Set during season 2. Probably plays the teensiest bit loose with cannon.

An oppressive melancholic atmosphere, poor Pinkie is having a tough time.

I think you did well with both her introspection and how she's always trying to stay positive. Its very expressive too, the ear droops and the bounces in step honestly go a long way. The pacing is also good, having Pinkie be on the move throughout tho whole thing, doing something she would normally love was a great choice.

I enjoyed this, but I think I have to go read something a bit happier - like your other PinkieShy fic
