After escaping Tartarus and bonding with her new friends(?) Cozy Glow decides that its time she sent an update on her life to her father. He was the one who taught her everything she knows about how to interact with other ponies, and he’s always been there for her.

Yep, it’s definitely time she wrote to Svengallop about everything she has been up to.

Buried under what could only be described as years of study, devotion to the Princesses, and her friends, there was a tiny seed of it. It nipped at the bottom of her soul occasionally, but never badly enough where she regretted a decision. 

Twilight Sparkle is attempting to ease her own mind, but she just can't seem to escape the memories of a certain pink, pegasus filly.

Having learned much in the ways of friendship, the Young Six begin to feel sorry for Cozy Glow. After seeking the Tree of Harmony's advice, they come up with the perfect plan to save their former classmate from ridicule.

It has been fifteen years since the Battle of the Bell, that terrible day when friendship failed and the forces of evil were triumphant. The conquerors of Equestria carved the land into three and settled into their rule, comfortable in the knowledge that nopony would ever be able to stand against them again.

In her home, a manor-house she calls Story's End, the Empress Cozy Glow receives an unexpected visit from a most expected visitor. It's a night she has long anticipated; the absolute final victory over the forces of light and love. After all, what has she to fear?

How much of a threat could an exiled princess from the far north possibly pose?

Did Cozy Glow have a depressing, traumatic childhood? Well, she certainly doesn't think so.

Twilight was never comfortable with the decision made on that day. After a decade of cleaning up the messes her predecessors had left behind, she couldn't in good conscience leave another behind for whoever followed in her hoofsteps.

Think that's actually a first for me.

After almost a year of imprisonment, the cunning, manipulative and resourceful filly known as Cozy Glow makes a daring escape from Tartarus, albeit getting injured in the process. The Mane 6 and Starlight Glimmer are quickly assigned to aid and apprehend her.

But as Twilight and her friends search for her, they encounter key figures of Cozy Glow's past and soon discover that she wasn't always the evil filly everypony has come to know her as. This leaves them contemplating if whether or not there is still good in Cozy Glow.
