After almost a year of imprisonment, the cunning, manipulative and resourceful filly known as Cozy Glow makes a daring escape from Tartarus, albeit getting injured in the process. The Mane 6 and Starlight Glimmer are quickly assigned to aid and apprehend her.
But as Twilight and her friends search for her, they encounter key figures of Cozy Glow's past and soon discover that she wasn't always the evil filly everypony has come to know her as. This leaves them contemplating if whether or not there is still good in Cozy Glow.

Curious start. Absolutely horrendous that they would keep a living being, let alone a filly, in such horrendous conditions. Many people thing that stoning her was too much, while to me, even Tartarus was overkill. Will be interested to see where this goes!

Impressive escape for Cozy! It is quite tragic that they were willing to keep anyone let alone a child under such conditions. I do wonder what Cozy's plan is now that she's free. She still needs to avoid authorities, after all.
The sneaking scene gave me strong Little Nightmares vibes starting out. It was really cool to have this disproportional sense of Cozy's smallness in comparison to everything else. I like the way she out witted Cerebrus.
The way she escapes is exactly what the sort of thing people would overlook, and it makes sense for the guards not to notice it.
The chapter was a bit off. I felt like it was missing some quintessential Cozy elements from the first chapter (like her sass) but all in all a good jail break scene, even if you have to bend cannon a little to make her escape through the front door work.
All in all, a very interesting development. I'm looking forward to seeing more.

Didn't take long for a nationwide search to go out. I wonder what tricks Cozy will use to evade everyone. Very interested to see where she'll go from here.
For learning all about responsibility, Twilight certainly didn't take any for that filly. I guess she learned it from Celestia.
I wonder how our "heroes" will react once they see first hand how they essentially agreed to having a child tortured for almost a year.

So far so good. Wish I had more to say, beyond so far, it's about what I expected going in. Not that that's a bad thing. I'm still invested and eager to see where this goes.
The only real issue I have is how none of the ponies seem to question the morality of how they choose to handle Cozy Glow. But that's admittedly more of a problem with the show itself and judging by what kind of story this is, and the fact that Twilight seems to be at least starting to think about it, it's probably something the ponies are going to have to confront down the line anyway.
But anyway, looking forward to reading more.

Thanks for the feedback. I do agree that it was more of an issue with the show on how they handled Cozy, which is what motivated me to write this story. Trust me, how the Main 6 will question things, you’ll have to wait and see. As for Cozy Glow, she’s going to have some conflicts of her own. After all, I already put it in the description that this is a Cozy Glow redemption story.
I really like how you picture Cozy in this story, I imagine at some point her motivation is gonna run out and she'll reach a breaking point. It'd be interesting if Twilight and her friends found her during this moment, so they could see, like somepony else said here, how they essentially tortured a child for a year.
Like how you added the music I never seen anything like this before this was really intense and I tried to rush through the rest before the music beat me to it, genius I must say.

One of many things that the show lack, a villain's origin
Nice to see the Mane Six are starting to think about questions they really should have asked right after Cozy's original plan was foiled. Better late than never.
But on the subject of where Cozy Glow's plotline ended off this chapter, I'm real curious to see things play out between her and The CMC. Probably not well for her, but I can see scenarios in which it can work out. At least in the long run.
And it looks like we got our first solid plot hook regarding Cozy's past.
Well that was very intense, cant wait for the next chapter.
