Sunset Shimmer knows the risks of blabbing about Equestria. Especially to people whose counterparts are... unsavory. The human counterpart of Cozy Glow was a gamble, but so far she's paid off. A troubled girl struggling to stay good. All Sunset has to do is keep her trust.

Lightning Dust is back to (literally) bug her old rival. Dash debates between reaching for an olive branch or a flyswatter.

This is a sillier, more flippant fic compared to my usual sentimental stuff. Sometimes, you just need to pen a scene where a couple of characters are complete goobers to one another and only sneak the sentimentality in at the end.

Cinderheart the fire mage likes superheroes. Enough to don a cowl of magic and patrol the night in her hometown of Canterlot. Sadly, her first attempt at crimewatch isn't going so well. Injured and discouraged, she needs a lifeline. A sidekick. A trustworthy civilian with the smarts, skills, and resources to act as competent support.

She gets Lyra Heartstrings instead.

Sunset Shimmer's been informed of the Cozy Glow debacle, and now she's worried about Cozy’s human counterpart. Is it wrong to suspect someone based on their parallel self’s sins? No knowledge of the IDW Reflection comics is necessary to read this; it's just the framing device for a pair of parallel ponies feeling responsible for the actions of their counterparts.

Going on six years after the Reflections Incident that nearly tore apart both canon and inverted Equestria, the latter timeline is finally safe under Sombra's benevolent watch. No urgent correspondence has gone through the Mirror Portal since things re-stabilized, but it wouldn’t be much of a story if things remained that way.

Sunset Shimmer hates the magicless world of mutant apes she's been trapped in for the last four moons, but at least she's making some progress on improving her situation. Now if only the short-sighted fools surrounding her would stop getting in her way, she could show them. She'd show them all!

Note that this particular Sunset has yet to encounter the concept of the "mad scientist." Not until later today, anyway.

A little story I used to put my headcanon about how time works between the main series and the Equestria Girls sub-series. It's a discussion of why Sunset is so young despite being older than Princess Twilight, as well as why timeliness don't always match up between the two.

Twilight's castle has gone through many wild and life altering changes over the years. What once was a simple library was now the seat of a princess and her council. Not only that, over the years it's played host to so many new and interesting people; each one memorable in their own way.

Which makes it all the stranger that there's this pony tending to the books lately that nobody seems to know... But she seems so familiar!
