It's been years since Sunset has had a good Hearth's Warming. After the events of last year, she almost wants to skip the holiday entirely, but her friends think they can do something that might change her mind.

Dusk finds Sweetie Belle skimming stones by the creek while he's out on some public service work. The familiar mare looks troubled by something, so he decides to ask her what the matter is.

Everypony enjoys myths and ponytales, even if they know such things aren't real. Alicorns fighting against a spirit of chaos? An ancient princess trapped in a library under a tree, waiting to be found? Quite enchanting and fantastic tales yes, but nonetheless as fictional as Daring Do and other such stories. At least, that's what Rarity used to think.

Long ago, there was a unicorn filly who made paintings with her magic that were said to be life like. She put the painting up in her special room, but the next day the family was never seen again.
