Fluttershy and Rarity spend an afternoon partaking in idle chit-chat, but conversation turns to confession when Rarity learns that Fluttershy doesn’t consider herself beautiful and never has. Rarity was the last pony Fluttershy thought would understand, but Rarity has a secret of her own, and Fluttershy comes to realize they aren't so different after all.

It’s not very romance-y until the end, but it needs the tag anyway. It wouldn't be a Rarishy ship without it!

Dash wants to help Rarity live out her romantic fantasy. But since Dash hasn't got a romantic bone in her body, she figures she'd better call in some experts...

This was going to be my entry in the 183rd Writeoff contest, "Gone by Morning," but I barely got a handful of paragraphs written by the deadline. So when the 207th contest, "Counterfeit," came along eight months later, I got my act together and finished the story. I'm rating it "Teen" due to assorted discussions of sexuality and such.

Starlight Glimmer has gone back in time. Each time Twilight tries to stop Starlight, she fails and is flung back through the portal and into a broken, twisted Equestria, ravaged by wars or monsters, each version worse than the one before, barreling toward the destruction of the world. Until she lands in a version of Equestria that ... isn't worse. It seems unchanged, happy, normal. The only real difference she can find on the cutie map is that her castle isn't there ...

... but the library still is.

Some questions have easy answers. Why Applejack never revealed her feelings for Twilight was a question like that. When she discovers that her reasons were wrong, what she should do next seems like it should be, too. However, some questions are more difficult to answer than they first appear.
