What if A Royal Canterlot Wedding was switched? Instead of Cadence getting captured, It's Shining Armor. Also, instead of Queen Chrysalis it's her weird joker of a husband, King Metamorphosis. When Princess Cadance and Shining Armor travel to Ponyville for their first anniversary, the Changelings launch an assault on the unprotected city of Canterlot. Taken without warning or without word, the city's defenses fall and Queen Chrysalis claims it for her own, killing Celestia as a token of her victory. With its grand ruler dead, and Princess Luna's whereabouts unknown, something that had been inconceivable in Equestria for over 5000 years now begins to tear it apart--war. Canterlot Wedding. You know how it goes. Evil changeling queen impersonates the princess, takes control of the heroine's brother, conflict, betrayal, reunion, conflict resolution, wedding scene, the end. But this all begs the questions; what if Cadance and Twilight hadn't made it in time to stop Chrysalis from the wedding?

In the episode "A Canterlot Wedding", we see everyone treat Twilight Sparkle rather shabbily, and when she's proven to be right, no one apologizes to her - not even Princess Celestia. How might this have affected Twilight?

Princess Celestia finds twilight passed out from lack of sleep at Shining Armour and Princess Cadence's wedding reception. She tries to find a way to apologise to her student for ignoring her warnings about the changeling queen, and faces self doubt over relying on the elements of harmony, and the mane 6, putting themselves at risk to save her kingdom.

What does it mean to be a brother?
What does it mean to be a sister?
Does it mean simply protecting the other, or is it something more?
Is it a blessing or a curse?

In this alternate take on the ending to Season 2, Chrysalis actually triumphs, defeating everypony and turning Princess Celestia into a Changeling. However, almost immediately, Chrysalis's plans begin to go awry. For Changelings feed on love. And who is more beloved in Equestria than Princess Celestia?

Years have past since the changelings were driven away from Equestria, giving room for peace and love. Suddenly, Twilight is captured in the middle of the night, and is brought to the hooves of Queen Chrysalis. Seeing that she has captured the element of magic, she is determined to gain her revenge against both Twilight and anyone that has ever wronged her.

Using her dark magic, the queen transforms the unicorn into a horrifying creature. Will Twilight hold on to her sanity, and more importantly, her devotion to friends?

Or will she slip into the darkness, and lose all hope.
