They should've stopped prancing long ago. They should've died before their kin did. They should've had a funeral with their family there to mourn their death.

But they never did.

And though they've lived with this pain for longer than they ever should... Their friendship stays strong. They are inseparable. Nothing can take away their friendship and their love for one another. But that's the problem.

Twilight is in training to become a super-pony, a hero of the night. And wants Spike to join her.

This was a writing prompt for "Not safe for work", "clop", and "Secret Spot". This story satisfies all of these. G/Tv-Y7 rated.

A little filly wakes up from her sleep and sees a pony looking out the window.

Silver Spoon always listens to a mare practice her trade in the evening, this time sounds a little different. This time it feels different, she just doesn't know why.

Not an overly sad fic, just a little sad.

After being stood up by Starlight and Trixie, Twilight arranges a do-over dinner with Celestia. Twilight insists that everything go perfectly this time.

Starlight promised it will. Unfortunately, Trixie has a firework on her head.

Work in the orchard had always brought Applejack joy. Seeing her cherished trees grow and her apples shine never failed to put a smile on her face—even if those smiles have grown a little dull as of late. She never once complained about an honest day's work.

But now, like so many times before, she has to visit the one place that appears dark even in the brightest of days. The place that reminds her of her failure.

A short existential horror. Apple Bloom accidentally time travels a fraction of a second into the past, and realises she's the only one there. The world continues on around her, yet she's not in it.

The present is an infinitely thin span of time bordered by endless past and future. Everyone you know and love balances on that line. What if you fell off?
