Blog about a promotional post, its poster, and the blog that was being promoted therein · 6:26pm Dec 9th, 2016
As of about two-and-a-half days ago, the FimFiction user Lunar Dusk announced in The Shameless Self-Promotion Bureau's group a promotion for a blog post he or she recently made. Hyperlinked in the forum post was the blog post itself, which was apparently titled "It's been a while," but the blog now apparently does not exist or is invisible, for it returns 404 errors to me when I click it. 
I was thereby left quite perplexed, for Lunar Dusk had remarked that he or she had not been present on this site for nine months leading up to the forum post's creation. Furthermore, the linked text explained that the blog would detail the reasons for Lunar Dusk's absence and the actions he or she intended to undertake in emerging from his or her hiatus.
Lunar Dusk's profile bio gives some clues as to what he or she may have in mind: it states that the owner occasionally reviews stories and is very much interested in providing proofreading services. However, if these pursuits are what Lunar Dusk had in mind, one can only wonder as to why they were not mentioned in the forum post itself. Indeed, I believe that Lunar Dusk had something or several things much more elaborate to mention but felt it was more appropriate to delineate in the format of a blog instead of throwing them into a forum post. Perhaps something grander or unexpected is in store.
The original forum post was quite concise, and the goal of concision is well known in advertising. I suspect Lunar Dusk was aware of this at the time of the posting, for promotion guidelines given in the aforementioned group advise to exercise brevity in the forum in order to create effective posts.
And it was effective! I clicked to see the blog post!
However, now that the blog is obscured to my view, I cannot ascertain what really occurred without asking someone.
And you know me. I am given to making blog posts and not even bothering to ask questions beforehand or later.
