The newly crowned Princess Twilight Sparkle has set up a bold new initiative to discover new magic, and is sending out an open call to the unicorns of Equestria to apply for her research team. No experience in magical theory or research necessary. Enthusiasm and out-of-the-box thinking a must. Turning thirty can bring out the worst in some ponies. Sweetie Belle just turned thirty and is not in the least happy about it. Add being single and having numerous ponies thinking she'll retire from the music scene just because of her age doesn't exactly help out. So in an attempt to show that the big 3-0 isn't as sucky as it seems, The Mane Six and Spike recount their own crazy thirtieths. Tales ranging from drunken princesses, Gummy, mountains of tissues, Las Pegasus, flying, a forced day off, and even a little romance.

In the aftermath of the wedding, Spike is bitter and avoiding everyone. Twilight's determined to find out what's bothering her charge, but she walks a very fine line when dealing with an emotionally distraught child.

Meanwhile, Rainbow Dash suspects something's wrong with Scootaloo, so she starts spending more time with her in hopes of picking the secret from her brain. As she begins to truly mentor the young filly for the first time ever, she begins to see the advantages to having a little sister.

And while all this is going on, Pinkie is struggling with some old family issues that have been brought to the surface, meaning she might have to confront her past at last.

- You will probably be extremely confused if you have not seen the last two seasons of Red vs Blue.
- You will probably be even MORE confused if you have never heard of Caboose.
