But this time, the comic has cast our hero as The Red Menace, a sometime-ally, sometime-rival of the Power Ponies, who uses the strange powers of her sentient beard to bring a tough brand of justice to the streets of Maretropolis.

When another outsider reveals herself, and Starlight is pulled into a high-stakes battle royale, the question is: can both Starlight and her adversary find a way to escape the comic world, or is it winner-take-all?

One cold morning, a small grey filly crested the low hill at the edge of her family's farm, sneering down at the smoky swamp below as she sucked furiously on a squeaky yellow pacifier.

She was just old enough to understand that the arrival of her little sister Maud made her the "big girl" now... and she didn't like that one bit. Even worse, she'd heard mommy and daddy whisper that another was on the way.

But down there, in the swamp, was the means to end this madness. All she needed was to grit her teeth, toddle forward, and take it.

Sometimes a shortfic stands on its own, a longfic ends sooner than I expected, or I have something to showcase from a group collab. • You Gotta Know When To Hold ’Em - The Pies are proud, upright adherents to an old-world tradition about how to live one’s life. Ironically, the forebear of their line was not.
• An Invasion is Born - Pony Joe has an exciting gift for his new special somepony. More than anything, he hopes she'll stop by and collect it.
• Lightening her Load - Applejack knows a thing or two about making a deposit on the side of the road. Good thing too, because it's going to be Rarity's first time.
• Starlight fixes “The Mane Attraction” with... HEAVY METAL! - Trixie's appreciation for everyday household goods takes an unexpected turn.
• Starlight fixes “Power Ponies” with… SWAT-ting! - Kids these days, with their modern ways of breaking up somepony else's good time...
• Starlight fixes “Rarity Takes Manehattan” with… Violence! - I mean, why spend ~22 minutes of airtime cleaning up after a jerk like Suri Polomare when you could just do this instead?
• Starlight fixes “Spike At Your Service” with… Admonishment! - Sometimes even a soon-to-be Princess of Friendship needs a (verbal) smack upside the head.
• Like Nopony Else - Maud Pie’s deep uniqueness can be both a blessing and a curse.

• The Eye That Floats, Silent and Unblinking, in Petunia Paleo's Sandbox - The Doctor rushes to somepony's aid... but whose?
• Hell Awaits (original version) - An initial draft of what would become the actual prologue to To Serve In Hell, my long-running thriller set in the Season 5 finale's Nightmare-verse.
• Tequila Sunrise - Aliens place a trio of creatures in a setting that plays to each of their weaknesses.
• Snakes on a Train - Daring Do says the line. You know the one!
• Inescapable - Babs Seed has a really bad day.
• The Inevitable Clopfic - An author's editor offers advice. (Not actually clop.)

This story is a sequel to Mistress of the Dark

This is also a sequel to That one strange story about a donkey., but the description below is all you need if you haven't read either prequel.

Moondancer and Moonlight Raven have become unlikely friends, despite one being as preoccupied with science as the other is with mysticism. But when an artifact that blurs the line between magic and technology unleashes one of the more unique threats Canterlot has ever faced, the two must set their differences aside (and seek the help of a certain Doctor) to save the day… provided they don’t annoy each other to death first.

This was my entry for Ocalhoun's Big 250k contest, and obviously riffs on That one strange story about a donkey. I feel obliged to note that certain details of Eugene's character are not intended to insult or trivialize others; they're just part of the hand his character was dealt. Sometimes Pinkie sees the world in ways that others don't. To her, a bendy drinking-straw might serve as a debonair traveling companion, and a humble bag of flour might offer a comforting shoulder to cry on.

But what would happen if that straw, and that bag of flour, came to see each other as more than mere support for Pinkie? What if a flame of raw, unbridled passion began to burn between them?

For within these pages lies a tale parody of tragic love in the tradition of such timeless classics as Romeo and Juliet and/or Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones.
