I thought of that earlier but the question that I always came back to was "What would I do there?" defeat souran early? meet gandalf? Live with Bilbo? I can't exactly create an army to conquer it currently so I don't see any reason to go there other than nestalgia. Though I thought of having gandalf the white join their cause and I'm not sure if he is powerful enough in the lore and movies to really count as a god.

You might be able to make a few tweeks to the story of it. Such as being able to save Gandalf from the Balrog, or stop Boromir from being killed. For a new companion you could add Tom Bombadil if you know any lore about him. Such as Isis feeling his presence as an elemental deity, and leading Puppet Master to him. Just throwing you a few ideas.

Ok I took a look at the story and I'm not sure if I like it.
But I'm going to keep reading to see what it's all about. I got 3 chapters done and I plan on finishing them later but right now I don't really like the story. And his constant pun making is going to be REALLY difficult to mirror for me and most of all...they aren't funny :/
(However meeting a traveler like that might actually prove really interesting.)

loving it so far, the whole crossing over to other fanfics and universes idea gives limitless potential.
id love to see them go to the 'Chess game of the Gods' verse like 'Griffin the Griffin'. If you love conflict then you could try the 'Quest for harmony' verse where the unicorns and pegesi are at war, twilight is a tyrant and the earth ponies are slaves. A 'Nathan Traveler' crossover could work?
Definatly needs to go to the Naruto verse some time in order to learn jutsu, i know i would if i was him, aswell as the bleach verse. ADVENTURE TIME VERSE ASWELL cant forget adventure time. Can't think of anything else right now.

If you don't know what I Am Alive is it is a really really good game on Steam, there are some youtube videos about it too, pretty sure Rooster Teeth did a few vids on it as well, same with Serious Sam, if you don't know what it is just google it or youtube.

I don't knwo about the others but TF2? Maybe...chances are no.
TF2 is a little over done and I'd rather not add them to this story because the only thing I can see myself doing is possibly beating the shit out of engineer or anyone else for that matter.
Also they don't seem like perminant characters.
