Valera lives a fairly ordinary life... If you can call one that in the Zone. He has been there for four months now, and knows many of the ins and outs of life in the harsh environment. When he gets a call from the Barkeep to investigate a strange Anomaly, he figures that, aside from the fact that he has an entire Duty squad escorting him, it will be routine.
Until it expands.
Swallowed by the creation of the Zone, he must find a way to survive in what seems to be an endless desert. At first.

If nothing else, it's a good way to get a bit more exposure for your stories. There's even one for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.crossovers (S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Central) that could use a few more members and stories at the moment.

To everybody else: I hope you enjoyed it so far. I was originally going to release Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 at first, but, sadly, Nazi mods. Apparently, when everybody else can publish a story that had nothing to do with ponies in the first few chapters, or the series for that matter, it's perfectly alright, but whenever my stories include so little as a direct (or several direct) references to it, the mods say "It's not related to the universe."
I hate them sometimes. Third story I've had this happen in.

Granted, considering how they hemorrhaged people at that piece of news and how long it has bean, I must admit it seems very unlikely we will see the game finished.
This was a great chapter and a pretty good story design so far. Also I hope this series is good.

Yep, that's accurate. They had developed it, on their own funding, until they could no longer. Now they are working on a 'spiritual sequel' called Survarium. It's supposed to be a STALKER-like MMO, but I don't really know.

Eh, for a Czech Merc? It's probably very uncommon. Anyway, I know the name itself is common. And Valera was something that I pulled out of I don't know where. I went through several names for him in the development stages: From Misha, to Popov, and several others. I settled on Valera because it sounded right.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl is a sandbox/horror/kinda-post-apocalyptic/freeroam/lots of categories game. At the time of this publishing, I only knew of two STALKER fics on the site, so I decided to make my own, with, of course, my own twist.

I'm not working with an editor at this time. At the moment, I am trying to overview all of these chapters and fix what needs fixing. Ch1 and Ch2 are already done: They were proofread by me over the course of two week, in Microsoft Word, with spellcheck on, and my Grammar Nazi hat safely on my head.
I don't really have an editor because I've never been able to find someone. However, I'm going to ask a friend (a slightly more well-known author who shall remain anonymous) to look over it.
