It had been 2 months since Rarity's outspoken stress-filled and breathless rejection. And Spike, still nursing a hurting heart, refuses on most occasions to visit the boutique. But when Twilight, now busier than ever to concern herself with smaller responsibilities, entrusts her favourite dragon to deal with the matter of a now “adult” filly, he begrudgingly agrees. And though it takes a bit of convincing and gritting through his fears, Spike finds a friend in a place he wouldn’t of thought he’d find one. And by slightly unconventional means ..

Appropriately emotional opening chapter. Yeah, I could see where Spike would have more than a few issues concerning - certain details - following the last time he tried to talk to/help Rarity. And, yeah, the argument between Spike and Twilight was pretty well done.

Anyway, on to the next chapter.

Glad things went that well for Spike and Sweetie when they met again - initial awkwardness aside.

Anyway, very good job on the exchanges, characterizations and general wrap-up.
