Spike had recently defeated Sombra and saved Equestria, Twilight had been busy with being the Princess of friendship and the other main 6 were busy with their roles in life, and feels a little depressed on it
Spike wishes to know what his destiny on a star one night and he falls asleep, unknownst to him destiny has much bigger things for him, he wakes up in front of an old turtle called Oogway and learns that he was brought here apparently by the Universe much to Spike's confusion,
Oogway tells him he is destined for something great and he is willing to teach Spike the art of Kung Fu and fulfill that roll, Spike accepts this and agrees to become a student, Oogway sends a message to Celestia about his destiny and she agrees to let him learn and decides to keep to tell the others at one point. From there Spike makes new friends and becomes what he was meant to be...The Dragon Master.
Huh wasn't expecting a Kung-Fu Panda adaption with Spike in the mix, nice!
So since Po isn't around yet does that mean when he does arrive he'll meet The Furious Six?

That was a tear-jerking reunion between Spike & his equestria family, glad they finally were able to see how much he's grown (both physically & emotionally) during his time at the Valley of Peace! Also glad he was able to earn his dragon master title before the events of the first movie came into play in the next chapter, looking forward to that!

And considering the fact that the Panda Species are very, very important in the second and third movies, for a certain chi reason.
So it is now very personal for me seeing Shifu being so negative against Po in a new light. Even though Po's own species did save Oogway that one time.
And you all know what I'm referring to.
Finally into the first movie proper, just loved Spike's reactions at Po's antics (especially the training room....ouch!
) Looking forward to the rest, especially the rope bridge fight scene against Tai Lung (hopefully Spike will be a part of that!

True, I would gladly defend Po as well if I was in Spike's place.
Think about it, every "master" has to start from somewhere.
I don't think the Furious Five, Shifu, or even Oogway were that good at Kung Fu at the very first day/week of their own time.
It takes many years of hard work, dedication, and support from others that makes them the best masters they can be.
One word to describe this chapter........OUCH!
Nearly forgot how brutal Shifu was with Po at this scene in the movie, still didn't break his spirit though!
