Pretty good. Kind of not following who "he" and "you" is in the last bit there, but up to that point could follow along.

Also, reference The Hiss as a legit crossover or just cause their chant is unsettling?

Twilight is ecplaining what happened to Celestia, that's the 'you' throughout the story.

About the secons question: You can take it either way. Chaos magic, in my interpretation, is an array of wild resonances, just as harmonious magic is a resonance in this au as well. Said resonances come from all around the universe, and whrn Discord's concentration was broken by mighty morphin' power ponies, one of the hostile resonances sneaked in.

And yeah, also because it's creepy.
