I was shooting for adorable on some level. Thanks! I feel that the 1k word limit really limited this, and I could have done waaay better with it with something closer to 3k words.

I have this weird fixation right now that Rainbow is some level of ace, but she loves AJ to an extreme level where she's willing to indulge AJ's straight up flamboyant lesbianism. AJ is regularly confused by this, as she is constantly getting mixed messages. I want to follow this up with another story (different timeline) that's an interpretation of the dance scene from the movie where AJ is no holds barred flirting with her, and Rainbow is reluctantly going along with it. Fluttershy steps in at some point and tells Rainbow that she doesn't need to do anything she's not comfortable with. Fluttershy knows Rainbow well enough to know that she's completely asexual, but doesn't comprehend that Rainbow is not aromantic. Rainbow tries to explain that while she has less than zero sexual appetite, she likes AJ enough that she enjoys indulging AJ's advances every once in a while purely to make AJ happy. Fluttershy then tries to harass AJ about this in a "She doesn't like that..." sort of way, and AJ basically tells her that it isn't her business, and Rainbow and her trust each other enough to communicate their limits with each other. It ends with them walking off to AJ's room, and Rainbow looking mildly frustrated but having a smile on her face. Fluttershy is just confused by the situation.
