This was a fun story, I only realized Seasprey and Sky Beak were a couple until someone pointed out to me that they were seen living together in the season 8 premier. I like the shipping and thought it was interesting to see a bisexual couple being shown as being normal in their society with not recrimination between the former spouses, Keep it up dude.

The warm light made the age-worn stone of the ancient building glow and, with the moss and ivy growing on the still-ruined parts, made it look like one of the treehouses on the lower levels of Mount Aris, where majority of the Returners had settled.

The general snorted; he did not have a high opinion of the more paranoid sort of Remainers, still seeing dangers around every corner even though the Storm King was gone, and a new age of trade, exploration and friendship between various nations and peoples was dawning in the Southlands. They could have at least looked at the royal family tree and realized that one of Sky Beak’s children was most likely to end up ruling Hippogriffia above the waves, as a viceroy or vicereine to their aunt Novo or cousin Skystar.

Seaspray’s motivations are established, he works hard to obtain them, and arrives at his desired goal. what a wonderful example of a storytelling arc!

This is not my first foray into fanfiction. This is, however, my first clopfic (even if Sky Beak and Seaspray are hippogriffs), and my first fic with M/M sex in it.

It came from watching Surf and/or Turf and thinking about how Terramar couldn't be the only 'griff whose family was divided between the land and the sea, and in a true fandom style extrapolating from there!

Seaspray's kinda biased when it comes to Sky Beak. Still, as the author, I'm stating that he's indeed handsome, and if you're sexually or romantically interested in middle-aged hippogriff stallions, he's very desirable. So yeah, total HippoDILF.

Oh yeah, "ruling class propriety" is a great way of phrasing it! While Hippogriffia is a family-friendly fantasy kingdom, keeping up the appearances has to be important for any member of the Royal Family.

I guess how adulterous the whole thing is depends a lot on whether you think Ocean Flow knows her husband's having an affair or not, and what she thinks about it... that could be a story by itself, I guess.
