For some reason, Rarity opting to pour her and her friend wine makes me happy. I don't know why, she just strikes me as a connoisseur of the stuff. She's not a drunk, she's just got a discerning, sophisticated palate.
Poor Applejack. I like the idea of her talking to pictures of her deceased parents in private; it's something personal and poignant and just...so Applejack. It sucks, having feelings for someone who doesn't have feelings for you.
I'm very curious to see where this goes!

I think it's interesting that you went the path of Rarity pondering her sexuality; it's something I actually relate to a lot. It took me about...oh, twenty-something years to come to grips with my own orientation (aromantic/bisexual). It warms my heart, seeing that Applejack is like the one mare that would make her realize she isn't straight. Which is fitting! Applejack is wonderful!
I love this SO MUCH; legit had to take breaks during the last few paragraphs there because I was squealing like a little schoolgirl at the Rarijack fluff. The two of them cuddling on a picnic blanket during a nice afternoon is like PEAK OTP perfection right there, so I was happy to see it. Thank you thank you THANK YOU so much for writing this! This is easily the best Christmas gifts I've ever received.
