My Little Pastafarian

E

Rarity has a blog now.

She is, after all, a passionate fashionista and a mare of many talents. She will share her thoughts on her work, express her candid opinions, and give advice and opinions if asked.

Includes lots of gushing over beautiful things, as well as reading some looks for filth, and tidbits into working in fashion. Also poring over friendships and life and things.

New coverpic by the extraordinarily talented imdrunkonTea! Their DeviantArt page: https://www.deviantart.com/imdrunkontea

(This fic is still in about ponies, although I might oscillate into human territory should the fashion demand it 😅)

This made me feel so fuzzy inside... Mm. That felt good. You really know how to make a character pop! It felt like I was there, and now I wanna curl up in a blanket, and hear more!

Dear Rarity: I was genuinely surprised to know there is a working internet access in Ponyville, I'm sorry I didn't mean to be rude but as a foreigner, it definitely caught me off guard to saw your newest blog.

If I may to ask, what kind of device you used to access the internet?

P.S the last part was making me laugh.

This was really fun. The joy and excitement you show in Rarity is very contagious.

I have to admit, I've no idea what she's talking about half of the time, but as I said, just the way she's telling it makes it enjoyable. It's like a youtuber that has a good voice so you just hear him talk on the background while you do something else, but you do it in writing form.

Dear Rarity: What is your opinion of dresses and suits from a few centuries before now, during the times of the renaissance.

10438589
Hello Zhafran! What a beautiful name you have

I am writing this on my MacHoof Pro. How it all works, I’m sorry to say, I couldn’t tell you. Twilight set it up for me and tried to explain it, but unfortunately it went way over my coiffure :twilightblush:

10438592
I’m so glad you liked it! 😊

Oooooo the renaissance! A wonderful source of inspiration! I could go on and on about it! I think I’ll write a post :raritywink:

10438598
Dear Rarity: Cool, I have to say I don't have that kind of luxury you have, Machoof must be pretty expensive. Thank you for your answer miss Rarity.

I can't believe you legitimately answering me...:rainbowlaugh:

I forgot to ask Rarity a question! Oops!

Dearest Rarity,

However do you maintain such a sleek image? Your mane must be a pain to clean, and your coat must have some special shampooing agent used on it! Oh, and pray tell, how do you stay so skinny and youthful? I believe that was too many questions. I'll see myself out.

10438628
Not at all dear. I’m happy to answer.

The most important part of looking fabulous is to take care of oneself. To have a healthy diet, get enough sleep and exercise, and taking care of your personal hygiene. These are the things that help you keep your figure and keep your mood up and stress levels low. And so, you feel beautiful and energized, and others will see it too!

As for my mane, yes it does take a lot of care and work to keep it looking fabulous! But it’s time well spent, don’t you think? :raritywink: One thing I had to learn the hard way was to avoid shampoo with sulphates. They dry out your hair and skin. And finding a good leave-in conditioner that suits your mane is most certainly a good idea!

10438643
I'll have to remember that! But, alas, I have issues with certain soaps, for they make my coat itch and feel as if it's in fire! I'll have to try and find a soap that'll suit both of my needs! Thank you ever so much, Ms. Rarity. You have an incredible day (or night, depending on what time it is there in Ponyville)!

Interesting idea of you and you got her right in character

I must say, Mrs. Rarity, you truly are a beautiful mare. I am pretty sure you catch a lot of attention from stallions, no offense of course.

My question though, as you are a designer, what's your view about the classic/old fashion clothing style, like hat and suit? And, got a favorite color in terms of clothing?

10438661
Why thank you for the compliment! I suppose a girl knows when her charms make an impression, but a lady doesn’t brag :raritywink:

I love a well-tailored suit and a crisp hat on a gentlecolt! The cut on suits used to have a bit more flair back in the day, which I appreciate.

And no, I could not choose a favorite color in clothing. It all depends on how the colors are used and paired together, and different colors look good on different ponies.

10438671
You are very welcome, milady. A good mannered lady like you deserves respect, which I have

You really captured Rarity's disposition. Well done.

Great job! And no, can't remember I very had.

That reminds me though, how did you and Sweetie Belle got your names, Rarity?

Also, after Blueblood and Trenderhoof, how is your view in finding love? If you don't mind me asking of course

10440558
Hello! And thank you.

I suppose our parents thought we were such precious, sweet babies that they wanted to name us accordingly? Cannot fault them for it, both me and my sister like our names very much 💕

And oh, do not remind me of that horrid occasion with that so-called prince! :raritydespair: And I acted so silly with Trenderhoof :facehoof: But I’m not really bothered too much about romance at the moment. What with three boutiques, teaching at the School of Friendship, my friends and sister and a blog, my life is quite fulfilling and busy as is :raritywink:

10440583
You are welcome.

And deeply sorry, I dod not wanted to upset you

Dear Rarity.
It's quite an honor to be speaking with an element!
I do have a few questions. Is it true we shouldn't wear white after labor day?
How is Spike the brave and glorious?
I sent a few gifts for your sister a coloring book I believe the chipmunks are popular still? Plus some glitter! ... also a few cards can you have Spike sign them please? Oh and you of course :)

Your friend from the Crystal Empire
Solar Victory

(Long live Spike the brave and glorious)

Greetings!

Oh my, I am flattered :twilightblush: I’m sure Sweetie will love her present 💖

Little Spikey-Wikey was indeed brave that day he saved the Crystal Empire! Me and all of his friends are so proud of him! And I’m sure he wouldn’t begrudge you an autograph or two. And neither would I :raritywink:

The rule about not wearing white after Labor Day is nonsense, dear. White is a beautiful color that suits most ponies, and it’s easy combine in any wardrobe. I believe the rule came to be because Labor Day is in the fall, when the weather gets rainier and muddier. So it is hard to keep white clothing white when you go about your day. But why not wear a skirt in a darker color, with a pretty white shirt or coat or a marvelous chapeau? I most certainly will! ✨🤍✨

I believe the closest thing to a Twirl moment was when I grew up my first proper beard.
I remember everyone pestering me about it, asking me to shave it but I remained determined to keep it (ironically, just a few years after everyone's opinions changed and beards came back to fashion apparently)

And this beard was the catalyst for the Twirl since I've had to wear a suit to proper events before, but I always looked like a kid wearing a suit and felt silly in it.
But with my new beard (that wasn't anything impressive) it really looked like I was wearing it properly.
I didn't look like a kid, I looked like a man my age, and I was happy with how it looked.

I also remember having a moment when again, paired my black bearded look with a black fake-leather jacket with white stripes, a withe shirt, and dark blue trousers.
My back then girlfriend even took a picture of me when I wasn't looking.

10440708
That sounds like a wonderful Twirl moment! A well-groomed beard on a gentlecolt does add a certain sophisticated je ne sais quoi

(Do you have a limit on comments we can leave? It would be nice getting to talk to Rarity once in awhile but I wouldn't want to annoy.... her translator lets say)

10440798
:rainbowlaugh: Well the translator doesn’t mind comments, but spamming the heck out out of the comment section might annoy others who might want to comment. So how about a couple of new comments per chapter is okay, but like more than three or so might be a bit much. That sound like a fair deal?

Rarity I'm so happy you got my message I just got my autograph from STBAG! I am sending in return a plushie of our hero!

Winter is coming up soon I was wondering if you had any suggestions for warm clothing and what are your Hearths Warming traditions? It's been quite sometime since I've gotten to celebrate it so I was wondering if anything has changed?
Your friend Solar Victory

PS look at this adorable tree topper they are selling of Princess Flurry! I am sending two one for you and of course one for "Auntie Twily!"

Um... Excuse my manner but I'm truly tried my best to not offending but I'm afraid my language knowledge is limited and I can't figuring out how to say this properly. I saw your profile pic and name, it's actually kind creeping me out. and why use 'My Little Pastafarian' instead of your real name?

Hello Solar Victory!

Thank you so much for the thoughtful gift! It really is the most adorable little thing! And I appreciate a generous pony

The Hearts Warming season is my favorite time of year! The celebrations and beautiful decorations and ponies coming together to share gifts and songs make my spirits soar!

Now, as for good winter clothing, I would say wearing layers is key. Not only does putting on many layers of clothing keep you warm, but it gives you ample opportunity to combine different colors and textures and patterns! Get playful! Try for example a shirt in a solid white or black, and a pretty green or red cardigan or vest, topped with a tartan coat or scarf! I believe tartan will be very big in fashion this coming winter :raritywink:

As for what to wear for Hearts Warming, I’ll tell you what. Since you have been so generous to me and my friends, I shall design you a special holiday ensemble myself. Send me a picture or description what you look like, and tell me if you are partial to any particular style, and what kind of an occasion is it for. Is it a simple dinnerparty with family or a fancy cocktail party?

I am not sure how traditions have changed, but me and my friends and family get together for a party on Hearts Warming Eve. We eat a delicious meal, put Hearts Warming Dolls on the mantlepiece, give each other presents, and we have a huge, gorgeous tree. But I think the heart of the holiday has always been the same: sharing a special day with the ponies you love, and showing the joy and gratitude you feel having them in your life 🎄❤️

10440842
Oh my! Does it do that? What a strange happenstance :duck: Like I’ve admitted, I’m no great shakes at technical things!

10440869
Hello Miss Rarity!

I am a blue crystal pony I just got my cutie mark this year! I got it after writing a book report about how The elements and Spike saved us! My Mama says I'm going to be an author when I grow up!

That's so very kind of you! My family is hosting our 1st Hearthswarming since Sombra's defeat so it'll be just me my parents my little sister and my Grandpa so anything you can come up with would be great. We have Hearthswarming dolls too but we may have to get them repaired they've been in storage for a very very long time. Do you have any suggestions for a Nightmare Night costume? We've never celebrated it before so I'm not sure exactly what to dress up as.
What have you dressed up as in the past?
Your friend Solar Victory!
PS I showed my friends my autographs of you and Spike! They looked a little jealous Can I get a few more to give to them please?

(See ya next chapter for more questions!)

10441018
Hello!

I’m sure you will be a wonderful author! I will read your published works for sure!

That sounds like it will be a really fun Hearts Warming!

As for Nightmare Night, I prefer to wear costumes that are pretty and glamorous, like merponies or fairies or period costumes with lots of frills and fabulous wigs! That is the beauty of Nightmare Night: you can be anything you want to be! So dress up as something you think is fun, whether a swashbuckling pirate or your favorite comicbook hero, or a pretty princess with a sparkly dress!

By the way, are you a filly or a colt, sweetheart? So I’ll know if should make a dress or something else. Of course, I’ll make a dress if you want, even if you are a colt! Everypony should wear whatever they want

I’ll send some pictures with autographs so you can share them with all your friends!

Hey there, Rarity!

Coco told me about your blog and boy am I glad I tuned in! This was a fascinating insight into the creative process. I certainly understand my wife's work better now!

10441801
Hello dear!

I’m glad you enjoyed it! I am a big fan of your wife’s work! And I was so excited when she ordered your looks for the Gala from me this year! I will do my very best to make sure you both will look absolutely marvelous! :raritystarry:

Give Coco my love!

10441828
Wait, what? Fantastic! Will you be attending this year?

10441831
Oh she didn’t tell you? Oh Coco, you sly thing! :rainbowlaugh:

Of course I will be attending! It is the biggest night of the year, after all! I suppose I should start working on my own ensemble as well...

See you at the Gala!

10441837
See ya!

Assuming my train doesn't break down on the way.

Hello miss Rarity,

I am a big fan of your blog. I'm hoping you are going to update soon. Your designs are truly cheque, unique, and magnifique. (That's how you spell the last one right?)

Your fan,
Astral Flare

10447098
Hello mr. Flare!

I am delighted you enjoy my writings  And my ”chic, unique and magnifique” designs

I will be updating soon. I’ve been quite busy with some new designs, and I shall write a post about them in a few days’ time. I will most likely have another post before that. There are things I’ve been pondering and remembering, and I wanted to address them.

So stay tuned! :raritywink:

Nice, work as always. Nice new cover too but something I noticed

”Oh Sweetie Belle! Please refrain from
startling me like that!” I admonished her, ”And what do you mean? How do I do what?”

Accidently paragraph?

It's fine, we all have a bad day from time to time, Rarity. Say, what kind of music do you like? Me, I am more the rock fan, but also have an ear for older jazz music, as it sounds very relaxing And your sister has a very nice singing voice, hasn't she?

Accidently paragraph?

Nope. It’s a dialogue, so when the speaker changes, there is a space between them.

Hello!

Yes, Sweetie is a wonderful singer! I was delighted, but not surprised, when her cutie mark included a musical note 💖🎼✨

I enjoy many kinds of music. Mostly I like classical music, like Manezart and Neighkovski. I do like older bands like Pony Floyd and Bridles as well, and I absolutely adore music by contemporary divas such as Sapphire Shores and Countess Coloratura, especially her newer, more artful works.

10453759
If you say so, I just wondered, as it cut off instead of being full like

"Oh Sweetie Belle! Please refrain from startling me like that!” I admonished her, ”And what do you mean? How do I do what?”

I can only agree, they are good singers and so is Sweetie. I find she would make a very good jazz singer

10453769
Umm, it looks identical to me. So whatever is happening, it’s because of your screen or something. It looks exactly the same from here.
i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/facebook/000/284/456/eef.png

10453775
Okay, maybe a glitch or something, given it looked as I showed in my first comment

Don't worry darling, past mistakes are just that; things of the past.

By the way, while reading this, a question came to me:

Have you ever tailored something for a theatre play? And if so, what did you do?

10453778
And the next one looks exactly like the first one, and both look normal to me. So I have no idea what the problem is 🤔
